  • Thanks for posting man...and on that note South Park is done, will post pics later tonight.

Still have Quest 64 on the go, into the 2nd Spring season on Harvest Moon 64 and then started Lego Racers.....I have this habit of starting games and not finishing them but at least I got some good progress going on multiple games.
  • Dr.Mario is done as well.... finished south park earlier today in case you miss the post dude.

So I just had to beat stage 8 on normal right? There was no credits it just told me to try it again without losing.

I beat the "final boss" I am amusing.

Here's what cheaterdragon1 wrote about it in the 2014 thread:

"You got the credits for that game so I'll give you the point, though Dr Mario does have 9 levels, you only see the 9th on Normal or a harder difficulty."

Would you be able to try it again (the final boss ?) without losing ? Maybe that's how you get the ninth level ?

I didn't miss your South Park post, BTW. I just didn't have the time to remove it from the list.

I am going to go back and just do it from the start.

It won't be an issue I play a loooooooooooooooooooot of Dr.Mario I only lost once anyway on stage 7.

So the deal with Dr. Mario is that if you beat it on Normal without losing, you battle either Metal Mario or Vampire Wario (depending on who you use) after the battle with Rudy. It doesn't change the ending in any way, so I don't think it should be required to play the game on Normal at all, honestly.

Oh, I see. I'll count it as beaten. I didn't know if there was something special happening when you beat the ninth level, so I guessed that you needed to do it to get the real ending. My bad !

Paperboy is beaten. It's a pretty short game and the reason it took me so long is the fact that I'm doing several games at the same moment. It is very repetitive, so I took my time to do it. I must say it's a pretty fun and original title. Never seen a game like it on consoles supporting 3D. The graphics are some of the worst I've seen on the console, but they do have a unique style, which is good. I'd recommend it.

    Pretty fun game.

  • Well, it's not really your fault. I was under the same impression last year until I played around with it and figured that out. I really should have made note of it then.

I'm almost done with Majora, BTW. Should have wrapped it up here in the next hour or so.
  • And Majora's Mask is done.

okay I went back and did this and got the vampire Wario fight and won, I took a picture and will post it once I am up..it is 6AM and I heard a repeated crashing noise in my apartment and it scared the piss out of me so I am wide awake.....and man I drank way to many beers last night but I am pretty sure I made excellent progress on Lego racers
  • Okay Lego Racers is done as well....I think it is worth a good amount of points as it has not been beaten in a few years (First one I have got that is worth multiple points).

Edit -Pictures added from yesterdays games.

Lego Racers is a game that I have been wanting to play for many many years, I have not played it since it was released.

Me and my brother rented it that weekend, both really liked it and have talked about it over the years on occassions.

I found that the game got easier as I went.....once you find out how to use the weapon system it gets much easier.

Wrong ! South Park gave you three points.

Nice! Then again it is a pretty bad game.......well I shouldn't say that, the way you aim is just bad.

The last boss drove me bonkers man it took me so long to remember how to beat him I ended up having to look it up.

  • Started my Blitz-a-thon again. Knocked out Blitz 2001 first. I've taken so many pics of Blitz games the last few years that I think I'll leave it alone this time.
  • I just started Superman.
  • I tried a few different games tonight. First was Polaris Snocross. It's not anything special, but I think I'll be able to beat it easily enough. Then I tried Nuclear Strike. I always liked Desert Strike, so I thought this might be OK, and it is definitely very OK. Then I tried a new football game - QB Club 98. Good graphics for N64, but worst football game I've ever played. I couldn't even win a game and I'm not so sure I want to get good enough at it to do so. Finally, I gave Mortal Kombat Mythologies a go, and I must say, it's horrible because of it's god awful controls. I don't know if I'll be able to beat it, but I'll probably keep trying.
  • Finished Nagano Winter Olympics 98 very... average game. There are 2 modes Olympic mode in which is like single event and Championship mode in which you compete in 7 different events and accumulate points. Highest points win. Championship mode is what I completed getting the Gold Medal.
  • Tarzan is done. Not too difficult of a game. Would've been more enjoyable as a kid I think though.

  • Took care of Blitz 2000. Best football game ever made.
  • Only one level left in Superman. I will add Blitz 2000 and Tarzan to the list tomorrow, I need to go to bed now.
  • Micro Machines... wow This game is a headache. Camera needs to be much farther out. Having to memorize every track because everything comes up way too quick. 3 lives. Have to come in 1st or 2nd....
  • Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth is done. It's a good thing you can get the ending on easy, because this game is hard! I've got a few pics to upload. I'll do it tonight.
  • Taking a minor break from the N64 games since Resident Evil 0 - HD Remaster came out and Final Fantasy Explorer's next week but don't count me out just yet.
  • Superman is done. I just can't believe I've done this game for two consecutive years. I still think the same thing about it: it is just an unfinished game that could have been pretty good. I did it pretty quickly, since I remembered a lot of things from my last year's completion. BTW, I just can't agree with the AVGN. He dislikes the rings stages so much, but in reality, like I said last year, the worst levels are by far the "action" levels. The reason I think these are the worst ones is because that when you die, you need to do the entire stage again. For example, for some reason, a crab killed me in one shot in the last level tonight and it frustrated me a bit because I needed to start again. Well, it's done now and I can only hope for the best this year. I think that Superman is a heavy hitter for the N64 list and it's a great thing that it is no longer a game to worry about.

Bad game, but definitely not the worst out there.

Here's a proof I didn't use my save from last year:

Here's a video I took of what the game does when you replay some levels after the final cutscene. Very strange.

  • I played S.C.A.R.S. Beating one cup gives you credits, but I think we need to establish this as NOT beating the game, as there are several cups to complete.
  • Just wanted to jump in and say Conker's Bad Fur Day is mine. Mine, I say!! I started it tonight. Hopefully done in a few days.

Also I'll be playing Castlevania 64 after that because I love the game, so leave it to me!
  • Madden 2000 done
  • I think Hydro Thunder is done. Got 1st on all the tracks, including the last bonus track. Nile Adventure. There weren't any credits after I beat it though. If I have to do anything else, just tell me and I can go back do it. It's actually not too bad of a game. Very arcade feel, some tracks have to do them completely flawless to get in 1st. I need to get more space and buy an old tube TV, would look better on it imo.

  • For what it's worth, I'm currently playing through Paper Mario right now at about an hour a day. I'm currently on my way to Dry Dry Ruins, so I've got a lot of gameplay ahead of me. I'm not too concerned about points or anything like that, so no worries if someone beats me to it. Just thought I would put that out there.

Very nice, that game always kicks my ass in the Hard mode. What's your secret?

I second SH's curiosity. I started that one the other day for kicks, thinking it might be an easy/quick one to knock off in an hour or so. Not so. At least for me.
