Creating my own game boy game.

Hi, so for a project, I'm thinking about creating my own game boy game. I was wondering if there is a website with information I need. I need to know what language to use for the programming, rom chips needed, how to implement code onto said chips, software that may be useful, etc. I am totally inexperienced here, so any help would be very much appreciated.



Note: This project is for my project idea for my engineering class. I'm not planning on selling this project.
