Blaster Master Demo Proto Test Game

I have an oppurtunity to buy this game.  But how do I know its legit and does anyone know of what kind of price would be accurate for something like this?

All I know is that there's only 2 in existence apparently and within the game you are able to pick which level you want to start in, that's the only information i have.

Please advise me on what to do.

UncleTusk thanks you.

  • Will the seller open it or let you open it?

You are going to want to look for EPROMs...take a quick search on google to see what these look like.

Also if it is a legit prototype, it won't have the standard label...it will look extremely crappy to at best have the game typed in.

Also, you aren't really going to want to spend more than $150...someone else may tell you otherwise...but protos typically don't sell for more than this unless they are a real popular or rare game.  Hope this helps.
  • In addition...the cartridge may be seriously weighed...if this is the case...that's almost a sure tale tale sign of a proto (protos don't have to weigh more...but in many cases they do)
  • I think he was asking for 75
For that it'd be well worth it then, right?

    Thanks for your help.

Yeah, I would have no clue what to look for or what to do.  But i'll try and take your advice.  I may purchase it.
  • $75 is a good deal assuming it's a legit proto

  • If it's different than the final release, I'd probably buy it for $75.
  • IT should have a picture that states it has a WARP feature not in the final version. There are 3 of those that I know that exist, and I have one of them. $75 is a joke of a price.

Joke as in too high or too low? image If i remember right, i remember seeing this BIN for $99 on Ebay and i dont think it sold (or maybe it was relisted and the sold).

  • I always thought this was one of the more common protos. They were handed out to every magazine reviewer back in the day, from what I understand. I've always wanted a copy of this. I had the opportunity to buy one once, but had just bought a bunch of NWC stuff at the time.
