Need help identifying a chip on the SNES motherboard
Need help indentifying a chip on the SNES circuit board.
When you open the SNES, it's toward the rear on the right side underneath the "Sound" module.
I purchased the SNES awhile back and it never worked and the seller refused to refund me saying it worked well for him.
Going to reseat it and reflow solder on the SMD capacitor, but wanted to know why a person would want to try to ground out a pin on this particular chip. It's not the CIC chip, so I'm a bit confused as to what the previous person who did this wanted to do.
Attached is a picture. Thanks in advance.
