Help on playing Romance of Three Kingdoms (currently playing RoTK 2)

Hello everyone, after playing Gemfire many of times on my Genesis and need a new strategy game to play, I figured I try to play Romance of the Three Kingdoms 2 on the Genesis. However, I don't have the manual and even if I did, the game is very intimidating for new plays. Any advice and tips for a beginner like me?

  • Wish I could help you. I love RoTK but only have experience from 7 on up.

What would you recommend from 7 and up for a new player BTW?

  • I personally loved 8 for the ps2 and is still by far my favorite in the RoTK line. It might be a little slower at times and is not as combat orientated as previous and future titles but I love the social interaction your character has between others and the game almost feels like an rpg at times. The game can be played a few ways, you can make your character and try to be super aggressive to be a war hero or general. or you can be a socialite and gain power be influencing other leaders. You can even just be a traveling warrior or ronin like character. The main key to any of the RoTK games I have played seem to be mastering patience with aggressiveness, learning when to strike with people under your command and when to hold back.
