Collecting Apps for Android?

I'm heading off to Magfest in two weeks and it has given me the push to organize and document my collection. I'd like to have a list of what I own stored on my Android smartphone when I hit the vendor hall this year.

I quickly searched for nes collector apps on the Google Play store and it returned a number of different apps. Anyone have any recommendations on which ones I should try out?

  • Following. My collection is 100% off the list, and that's... Bad. I need a good collecting app, and one that can easily and quickly scan game barcodes to add to the collection is a must. That'd save me from entering about 800 games manually.
  • Interested in this as well. I have tried a couple apps, but they are tedious to add games to the collection list, even if you have a small collection.
  • I use an app called "My Game Collection" which does the job pretty well.
  • RFgeneration.com is free and has an Andriod app. Huge database.
  • I've got the puregaming.org ps1 collector app and NES collector app for iPhone and it's meh. Don't know if it's got an android counterpart. It's ok for adding games to your collection and seeing what you have vs what's left in the set but most of the other functions are pretty useless.

This looks very detailed. I checked it out briefly and I like the stats and info they provide on the games. It looks interesting.
  • I use My Game Collection app and it's...ok? I paid for the pro version. There's two things I really hate about the app. One the barcode scanner NEVER works...even on new popular games...seriously. And it's been in "beta" for flipping ever. Two it never seems to find certain games. For example it has a hell of a time finding Pac Man games...

The only reason I use this app is because it covers all the systems I own, I paid for it and it seems to be the only one that focuses on multiple systems and not just one system...ie NES collector.
  • Just use Google sheets. I've tried a couple different ones and I didn't like them. I'd rather just set up my own system
