Is my xbox haunted?
I'm talking about the original xbox btw.
So EARLY this morning I wake up to this loud "wurring" noise. Not knowing if it was something of mine or what I half attempted to fall back asleep but just gave up and went to hunt it down. Turns out my xbox was on and the disc tray was out...weird and creepy. So I turn the damn thing off and go back to sleep. About the time I usually get up I noticed the same damn sound again, and wouldn't you know it...xbox is on. So I turn it off...comes back on 2 seconds later, turn it off, it turns on again. Finally I turn it off and click my power strip off, cutting the power to it. That bloody worked...
So...
What the hell is wrong with it?
Is it an easy fix/how do I fix it?
Is it easier to just get another one?
Can my 360 play my xbox games?
I don't have a large xbox collection by any means...I just collect the exclusives...so if my 360 can play them...I'll just do that for now. Easiest thing for me...

There are some that just have corrosion from factory I have repaired some traces on one of mine it isnt too difficult
Take it to a game store that refirubs consoles if you have a store that does. It may be easier to get a new one if the cost of repair's gonna be the same as buying a new one.
As for playing original XB games on the 360, first you need a Hard Drive. Not a external drive, not a thumb drive, not the built-in 4GB, it has to be the 360 HDD (Any size will do). Once you have that, look up your games to see if they're compatible:
