  • Hi Wiggyx, so on your old site you used to have an image showing where to dremel down or scrape off the plastic on a GBA shell in order for the AGS-101 to fit. Would you still happen to have that? Would you mind sharing it?

  • New Website

The new RCG Website is now LIVE!!!! We wanted to spread the news here first, because the nintendoage community has supported us so much in the past, and we owe you all some thanks. This community is the perfect example of what makes the retro community so amazing, and we are glad to see it thriving. We have been working on our new site for over a year, and have put a lot of time into making our website great...again. It was long overdue for an overhaul, and we are excited to see what everyone thinks!! The functionality seems to be way more on point, meaning it is easier to find what you are looking for, easier to purchase items, as well as items being in stock when they say they are in stock. The Aesthetics are what we really like though. There will even be a blog, where we talk about our day to day, projects we are working on, How-to/DIY tutorials, and pretty much everything RCG!!! And to celebrate the release of our new website, we have a lot of new products that will be up for sale, limited time special offers, and even a one-off Megaman Wily Wars Giveaway!! You will just have to see for yourself!

-There may be Technical issues with the New website. Please contact me if you run into any problems!

     New Products

Launching a new website wouldn't be proper without a bunch of new products for purchase! We have some old favorites returning, as well as a line of new products. A lot of our new products are limited edition, small quantity, and will not be in production again. So if you see something that catches your eye, you better reel it in!

    GAMES

    -Marvelous

When Marvelous Another Treasure Island was released in 1996 to Japanese audiences it was very late in the SNES life cycle, after the release of the N64. Due to the timing, this great RPG title was lost in the shuffle and was never translated or released to western audiences. Good News Everyone! RCG does it again and brings you this now 100% translated RCG exclusive Marvelous to you in a custom designed exclusive package after a long wait. A retro gaming gem once lost to the tides of time can now be yours to behold. We have released this once in the past, and now it is back in limited quantity!

    Features:

    • Multi-piece wood & acrylic cartridge shell, with satin polyurethane finish
    • Laser-etched semi-transparent acrylic faces show through to the inside of the cartridge PC board
    • Wood display stand
    • Custom designed packaging, instruction manual, and trasure map

    -The Legend of Link

The Legend of Link is a new game in the Zelda legacy released as a ROM in 2014. It was originally developed by I

Legend of Linknfidelity who spent 3 years on the project. The Legend of Link utilizes the original NES Zelda game engine and features completely overhauled graphics, music, and map designs in the style of Links Awakening. New magical items and concepts await, such as pitfalls, dash and Pegasus boots, Roc's feather, magic hammer, and many more. The game has a completely new feel to it as well as new functionality. The sound has also been upgraded with the inclusion of the Capcom sound engine. We are very pleased to give this game the release it deserves. We have released this once in the past, and now it is back in limited quantity!

    The Legend of Link includes:
    • The Legend of Link Famicom cartridge
    • 62-72 Pin Adapter to play on the NES
    • Brand new box and instruction manual designs by RCG with exclusive cover art by retro artist Lyndon Willoughby
    • Laser etched display stand and Large Signed/Numbered 24" X 36" Gold print.
    Important Compatibility Notes:
    • NOT compatible with Retron 5
    • Will only work with a front-load NES if it has a blinking light win installed. top loader NES prefered

    -Megaman: The Wily Wars

This is our newest release! We will be releasing these gaming in a bunch of different colors! It will all be chosen at random. We have been working on this project for a while and it is great to finally see it come to life! The Wily Wars, was originally released in Japan as Rockman Mega World, a video game compilation by Capcom for the Sega Mega Drive. The game features remakes of the first three Mega Man games (Mega Man, Mega Man 2, and Mega Man 3) that were originally released for the Nintendo Entertainment System, and is a pseudo-sequel of sorts for these titles. The Wily Wars was released in cartridge format in Japan and PAL regions. The North American Genesis version was available exclusively via the Sega Channel service.

    STANDS AND MORE

    -Special Edition Display Stands

These stands are made for people who truly respect and love their special edition portables. Each stand is designed to display a specific portable. Don't

just play your portables, display them! These stands can turn your portables into a piece of art, spoken about among your peers in hushed whispers of awe and wonder. Show your friends up, make them jelly. We plan on making more versions as time goes on, but there is no guarantee that we will be making more of any given kind once it's out of stock. We hope you love these as much as we do!

    -Cartrige Display Stands

Your high value games deserve more then what they are getting. Let everyone know that your game is ment to be displayed, not just collecting dust on a shelf! Honor them by using one of our cartridge display stands! With a frosted acryic base paired with the etched logo, you can't help but marvel in its glory.

This is a must have for a serious retro gaming collector, online seller, or even for your storefront!!! They Come in Famicom, Super Famicom, NES, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and the Sega Megadrive. Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance stands are coming very soon!!!

    -Sega Nomad LCD Upgrade Kit

It's Back!!!! We are now offering our Nomad LCD kits once again. This upgrade kit enhances the display quality of the nomad, and makes it look better then ever! It also comes with an adapter, which secures the LCD in place. Without our custom made adapter, installing a new LCD would turn into a pain in the .... you know. This takes all of the guess work out of the installation process. You even have the option of including the correct screwdriver for the Nomad system, so you don't have to find one yourself.

    -Nintendo 64 Top Labels

When it comes to my Nintendo 64 games, the worst part is finding the game you are looking for. Since the N64 never came with a top label, we thought we would make our own! All 296 of them!!! Now you never have to endlessly sift through your collection again!! They will come in two options, vinyl stickers and paper stickers. The vinyl option will be much higher quality and smooth, where as the paper option will be for those only concerned with organization and not concerned about the quality. Spend less time looking and more time playing!

N64 has the funtastic colors and other LE controllers. Plus there isn't a good way to really display these other than laying down.
    GameCube has several as well
Xbox 360 has a ton of special editions
Dreamcast has a bunch of colored ones too.

Although I'm sure Nes, snes and virtual boy- anything Nintendo people would probably want lol.

That's just what came to mind

ok ok! Newer Gen consoles never came to mind, but there are so many limited and special  edition controllers! We have talked about it for a bit, and this sounds like a good idea. Expect to see some mock ups for these in the near future!

  • N64 controllers should be a no brainer with so many different colors/variants. There's at least 18+ different controllers! I'd definitely be interested in a full funtastic set if something like that's possible.

It seems like you guys like the idea of N64 controller stands. We will start working on some, and see how they go. We will post the pics here once we get some good prototypes going!! Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated!

Thanks for the input. The more requests, the bigger chance we will put this to the front of the line. We are doing the R&D right now, but we just don't know how popular they will be. Again, thanks for the feedback

  • SNES wireless controllers would be awesome especially since the damn controller cords are too short for my liking. Also, are you considering doing custom shells for the SNES? I would be interested in maybe a clear red or green if we are throwing suggestions into the box. My grey is so.......90s

Still a ways to go, as you can tell, but it is getting there!

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions! We are considering making custom shells, and consoles. We are just seeing if there is enough interest in them. If there is, you can be sure they will come in many colors

No idea on price, or even if these will sell. We are seeing how people like the idea. Probably second gen and up, but we still have alot more work to do to get this prototype in working order, so it all depends on how easy they are to produce.
