She went from the top of the watch, to the lower levels closer to Gendry...I get the feeling she's gonna die soon because you don't live your life a virgin and give all that up for a one night stand unless it REALLY means you think you're dieing.

Also, wtf happened to Pod. He's giving ol' Bobby Baratheon a run for his money on the scale side of things.

No way Arya dies soon. I mean I know the show and book are different but is anyone more capable of killing then Arya? I’m more curious why she is fighting with a double headed spear since she’s never used one but I guess it goes back to see she a bamf

It makes tactical sense at least - she is small of stature and quick on her feet. As far as anyone is aware you simply have to jab a white walker with dragon glass and they basically crumble right? So what she really needs is reach to pair with her agility.

Have we forgotten how Arya was trained lol

    Got me

  • It's almost like that was literally years ago or something eh? ;P
  • Some Friday sauce to pump up the crowd for Sunday night - which should be EPIC

"The coming episode will see what's said to be the longest single battle sequence in film or television history, with an episode that is clocking in at over 80 minutes."

A co-worker of mine said it took 55, yes 55 days to film Sunday night's battle sequence.

yea but its kind of a big part of her story to forget. Thats like saying I forgot she had the needle sword.
  • This time tomorrow, it's going to be epic.

    I cannot wait.
  • No more sitting around the campfire telling stories.

    Season 8 finally starts tomorrow.

    Who dies tomorrow?

The Hound? Gendry? Brienne? Greyworm? Theon?

    All the above?

    Everyone in the crypts?
  • Are you ready?

  • Predictions:

Arya has a high likelihood of dying in the Crypt. Remember in the pre-sesason teaser she was running away out of fear in the crypt? That is...unless the Hound dies protecting her.

Podrick is likely going to die in front of Brienne, making her screw up and causing a secondary death either between the red bearded man (I can never remember his name) or Jamie.

I think it's the bearded guy, because Jamie has to die at the hand of the Bronn, the Sellsword...unless he kills Tyrion instead.

I think Little Sam and Gilly will die, along with the racist children.

Grey Worm, AND/OR his love, Missandei will die this episode almost guaranteed. They made plans for the future, and are minorities. That's cinema sin #1 right there when it comes to survival.
  • It would be hilarious if everyone survived the white walkers.

I would disown the show if NO-ONE died tonight....

Gimme that drama, I need to see screeching fangroups tonight.

We had two episodes of that.

    Times up!
  • WTF?

That's how they kill the night king? I don't know what to think anymore...

I love it yet I hate it. I need to watch this episode again....
  • That was nuts!! Bran knew to give arya that dagger.

It's like he has some sorta time-travel future-sight or something.

Well thats whats i was getting at there,. Thanks for the replay lol.

  • I'll be honest, I am a bit disappointed. I was really hoping that the hints G.R.R.M. gave really early on about his inspiration was a nod to some Hamlet-level shit.

I was really hoping for the utter annihilation of Westeros.

It hearkens back to my disappointment in Attack on Titan - the original plan for that was for everyone to die, but then the Mangaka decided against it because it got popular. I really like where it's gone regardless, but it's also sorta back to just another story.

It's a fine episode I guess, but overall I am disappointed. There's still a chance in the next 4 episodes to turn it around and bring it back to a depressing ending but I''m just not seeing it. We're essentially dealing with good vs evil here.

Big fuckin' battle against the army of the dead and not a single A-Lister dead.
  • 5 minute stew here.

Yeah, I'm kinda not giving a crap about Kings Landing...

Either they win or lose, I just don't really are for Circei being the big bad. I guess we'll see some green nukes in the next three episodes though so there's that.

    Eh?

I'm feeling there's not any drama left in the show unless my Tyrion theory comes into fruition.
  • No all those people dying would make no sense. Game of thrones is about taking that pointy chair. Also makes sense Arya would do it
  • I liked it. Unexpected but like it. Cersei as the big bad is fine with me. You knew this was coming the second the night king was at the battle.

They did actually kill off a chunk of B characters. Berrick, jorah, leona mormont, theon, night watch dude, looks like every single dothraki, the red witvh, jons dragon looked like it was injured

im glad they didnt kill any a-listers with simple whites stabbing.  The only thing that was a little bit letdown was no white walker actual fights with the vslyrian steel swords. Was hoping to see  jon take a couple out.

Thata arya stab reminded me of the captain america winter soldier knife fight

It doesn't HAVE to make sense! It's a fictional worrrllllddd.

And ya know what? Fuck it, it DOES make sense man. They were and army of fucking undead. They WASHED OVER the first line of defense like a goddamn tidal wave.

What doesn't make sense is fuckin Jorah protecting Danaerys from a horde of undead. Or any of those other fuckers being alive right now.

    It's officially a fairy tale.
  • Someone pissed in gloves' cheerios

hoping for the dead to wipe out everyone and gave nothing left? Go see a therapist
  • No explanation of the night king, nothing beyond a mindless unspeaking monster with no deeper motivation than killing. I couldn't be more disappointed. I expected so much more...

No drama? This set up is for the uktimate drama. House vs house. Its the game of thrones. Phleo... think for a second. The show is built on politics and build up. In a way im glad this is dealt with

I never expected a deeper purpose for him. He wanted to erase man. Sounds like a fine purpose to me. He failed. The show can now get back to the iron throne focus. My guess now is an aftermath set up episode, and then war with cersei and political positioning twist or backstabbing. Cant wait.

that episode was chaos. I dont see how someone could be dissapointed in it. Man sone of you set up sone really unrealistic expectations. I was hyped for this episode but was just taking it in. I think its cool arya killed him.

  • Jeff loves everything about the show, who could of seen that coming. This show spends entire seasons on needless backstories, you have done nothing but praise their awesome character building and how wonderful it was to have two episodes of campfire stories. Then there is a character who has been around since the very beginning and we get nothing. He wants to erase man, just because it's a Tuesday. Fucking lazy.
  • ? Nah im just against irrational overreaction. Were we supposed to hear him talk? They speak some shreiking language. How were we supposed to learn their exact purpose again? Was he supposed to get an interpreter?

I mean... Warging is a thing. Bran has been shown to be able to warg into people.

Fun twist - The NK can warg into Bran by touching him. He left a "mark" on him when he touched him in a memory way back when. Surely this supernatural being has some way of communicating telepathically. We have to assume he does SOMETHING like this given he controls an entire army, as well as seemingly giving orders to his group of (seemingly) generals.

I'm just so disappointed in this. I was really hoping for something meaningfully painful. I remember Ned Stark's head rolling and the excitement that brought at the idea of something DIFFERENT.

  • The night king was always the big bad in-universe though.

They established a continent wide wall to keep him out, an independent army that obeys no king for millennia, the guy was there with the children, and they left sooooo much unanswered about him.

WHO was he? WHY did he need Crastors male children? Why did he want to destroy mankind? What was his ties to the children of the forest? Who the hell are the children of the forest......

Circei is the bin laden of the GoT universe. The Night King is the devil. She's not really looking like an all encompassing master of evil in contrast to the literal devil.
  • I was honestly hoping that the theory of the NK going to King's Landing would have been true, as well. Cersei has been gearing up specifically for a war to clean up the losers, and ASSUMING that the remaining survivors would have dragons specifically. She has that big fuckin' crossbow cannon at the ready to fuck up some aerial assaults.

At the VERY least we might have seen Cersei as the hero who fells the NK or something. THEN how would everyone else feel eh?
