I would like to hear some stories about bad deals, post agreement charges, getting shafted...anything that pissed you off. I am sure we all have a lot. Let's hear 'em.
The one time I let my friend tag along with me to Funcoland when I was 12 also happened to be the one time they had Contra Force. For $10. And he saw it first.
Woman poorly lists Panic Restaurant and Bubble Bobble 2 protoypes I buy them both for just over $100 Assholes send her messages offering to buy them out from under me She relists them and sells them to other people
Still pissed off about this one.
Didn't someone from this forum buy them out from under you?

Dream bought the BB2, but he didn't contact the seller. I'm fairly confident that person who contacted them was the same person who contacted me on 2 different forums about buying it from me. When I declined his offers, I'm pretty sure he went direct to the seller. He's a low profile guy that I'm sure most people here wouldn't know him, but he is real big into collecting anything Bubble Bobble related. I'm 99% sure he is the reason my deal went sour. Oh yeah, and the seller was a c-bag.
My very first online deal ever was via AOL back in 1994, I was trading valuable Magic cards. Of course, this was in the infancy of internet transactions, and the anonymous bastard on the random message board never made good on his half of the trade - I lost a Mox Ruby (then, worth about $50. Now worth hundreds!)
Well I bought (BIN) Megaman 1-5 for like 20 bucks shipped, and then the package finally came in a torn envelope. Inside was s dirty, broken Mario 3, and the seller who was a high feedback (about 500) and at 100% didn't refund me. It was only 20 bucks, but still.
my buddy bought a wrecked 1967 cougar for $300 and i told him id strip all the good parts off of it to sell if he let me get the taillights and the motor. so i had it stripped down to the bare shell with just the motor in it and he posted it on ebay and sold it for $300. i asked him wtf was that about and he says "ebay was running a free listing special so i had to do it" so i spent 4 days of my life stripping a car down to bare shell just so he could make a ton of money off my time
I helped a close friend out the day after Thanksgiving at his game store for about an hour or two and he said he would hold me a Wii. Some of his staff did not show, so I hung around to help. They showed up and when I tried to buy one, he was like, "They are getting $400 on ebay". I was pissed.
Well...one of my first deals on the Internet was the purchase of a factory-sealed Final Fantasy (NES) from eBay, came to about $18 and change. That deal went well, and I was torn between holding onto it and flipping it for major profit. I eventually went the latter route, and traded it to a guy for $150 plus Kingdom Hearts (PS2; at the time, it was still worth about $25 used). He was to send $50 plus Kingdom Hearts first, then I was to send the game, and then he was to send the remainder...he never sent the $100.
About 4 years later, I made a trade through that same site, my $140 for this particular female user's NTF2 test cart and this NES/SNES/GB service training manual. I noticed the last names and the locations (not necessarily street address, but just the city and state) were the same as the guy who ripped me before. I actually had the nerve to ask if they were related. Her response? "He's my husband." o_O . Of course, I didn't let it affect the trade at hand...it ended up going through without a problem (I still have both that NTF2 test cart and that training manual ).
Not really getting screwed out of a deal, but this is something that has always bothered me. About 4 years ago I lent my CIB copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2(DC) and 2 of my Dreamcast controllers to a 'friend'. Several weeks later I find out he moved away! Through a mutual friend of ours I was able to get back the disc but the case and controllers were long gone, and I never saw the guy again.
i bought a cib pal-A flinstones 2 for 9,95.. on ebay with a BIN
But when it got at my house.. the BUBBLER where he sended it in whas open.. and geus what no videogame...
It whas falen out... yeah right!
the worst thing is that i think some guy i "THOUGHT" it whas a internet friend.. bought it from the guy. and after that he just disapeert.. that guys whas even a actife member here and on other forums

Evidently he is no longer your buddy. He is a real son-of-a-bitch.
ya that guy was a greedy dick. as much as he tries to play with old cars you think a trusted, knowlegable, quick working, and cheap mechanic like myself would be something of value
now a days he takes his car to the shop for brakes and oil and lets them charge him $800 for an hour of work and $60 in parts lol

Hey, I think I know the guy your talking about, I forgot his name but I remember him posting a thread looking for anything bubble bobble related...
I haven't really been screwed over by anyone, but I had a verbal agreement of $325 shipped on a $375 BIN OBO MINT Little Samson with the seller. He then disappeared for a few hours and someone clicked the BIN of course. I'll just keep patiently waiting, it bothered me that day but I don't even think twice about it now.
I made an offer to a guy on CL for $50 for a bunch of NES games, many uncommon, told him I'd be over in an hour. I get close to his place and call him cuz I'm having a hard time finding it, and he tells me he sold them to someone else for over $100!
Another time I spent an hour on the bus to get out to meet this guy to buy some PS1 games, spent around $200 on them only b/c one of the games was Legend of Mana which at the time was selling for $80. Well the disc looked slightly scuffed up AND like it had been buffed, but he assured me it worked fine. Got home and guess what? The disc was non-working!
An even trade. $400 value of stuff from me (including my factory sealed mega man 3) for a $400 worth of stuff from him. I sent, he never sent, claimed he did, had no shipping receipt. told me tuff luck. I contact my lawyer, she sent him a letter, thats when he got scared. Called me and said that he tell im serious and im not playin around. so he told me that i could choose from a list of stuff he had to make up for it. It was better than nothing, i was supposed to get some nice stuff, then that package came and only half of that stuff was in there. So in a way he screwed me twice.
Oh and my whole SNES kiosk thing with a person im not going to mention.

Mr. Mark I would have sued the seller in your situation just for the principal. Dont care if it would have cost me 3 times what the protos were worth.
