Can you find the differences between these two games?

How many differences can you find in these two games?

If you can, why are they different.  I noticed them earlier tonight.  Not sure why there are different.

  • One has marker on the back, the other doesn't image.
  • haha ok i mean other than damage or wear. Let pretend these are mint.

  • easy. mario is a different suit. there is also another variant where the top label is yellow. i have found 3 different carts, but im sure there are more.

edit: cant forget about the seal too
  • there's more to it thats different.
  • The thing next to Nintendo on the back is differnt, and the right one has 1985.
  • yep and theres no copyright. also whats up with the inside of the cart its like entirely different.
  • one has ROM's and one is a glop board. image
  • there from different print runs....

i beat ya to it, josheroo!
  • Let's see here...

    Left cart:

    -Yellow font.

    -Mario has red overalls.

    -No Nintendo seal of quality.

-"Track" and "Meet" are centered under "World Class".

-The last line in the back label reads "(M) Nintendo".

    -Glop-top PCB.

    Right cart:

    -Slightly darker yellow font.

    -Mario has white overalls.

    -Nintendo seal of quality present.

-"Track" and "Meet" line up with the left side of "World Class".

-The last line in the back label reads "(C)(M) Nintendo 1985".

-Standard ROM chips on the PCB.

One other difference that may be possible, but I can't make it out for sure for the camera blur: the type of screws in the back of the cart.
  • The screws are different too!
  • nope screws are the same. mb7421 you found everything that i know of.
  • There are something like a dozen variants of that label/cartridge.

Somebody showed them off in the thread where Tusker was taking orders for custom boxes.
  • And that board variation is very common with the SM / DH game. I've seen about half and half of each version...
  • There's the variants I have found. I'm sure there's more, i didn't check any of the new carts I got against these.

  • The Nintendo Entertainment System is lower on the right pic.
