  • Wow, Square is in fourth place. I wonder if the votes are coming in for Rad Racer II or for King's Knight. Since those are the only two games Square published for the NES.

I think those votes are coming from people that are thinking of Square on the SNES, rather than their actual releases on the NES... (or getting gummed up in the much later merger with Enix and forgetting that Enix was its own publisher back then)

(i.e. misapplied nostalgia for the FF-series as it relates to 8bit FF1-3 -- they are good games, but not nearly as strong, IMO, as Dragon Warrior/Quest was at that time)
  • 1. Sunsoft

    2. Taito

    3. Hudson Soft

    4. Tecmo

This is another tough call. I think Hebereke and Mr. Gimmick put Sunsoft just on top, even though neither of these games came out here in NA
  • Good 'ol Hudson Soft.
  • Damn it, I meant to vote for Tecmo and accidentally clicked Taito. >:-(

Oh well, not the worst mistake in the world given that Taito had some good titles. I'd give honorable mentions to Taxan, Enix, Hudson and Sunsoft.
