Just to be clear on the buyer's story here. He buys $2000+ games to resell but did not check the authenticity. He then resold the game, buyer #2 said the box was fake so he returned it. David sends back the game to Pheidian, but is suggesting Pheidian swapped out the cart for a repro, took out the manual, then resealed the original shipping package?

1) The Color of the box is more vibrant/brighter compared to other Dino Peaks
2) There is ink bleeding thru the inside of the box
3) The Box smells of fresh ink
4) The buyer has stated multiple game stores & collectors stated the box was fake.
5) Yet alone - Why was the box missing "REV-A" on the bottom right?
Therefore in good faith - I ended up buying another Dino Peak CIB to make this entire situation right. I filed a claim immediately after confirming the box smelled of "fresh ink" to make sure I got my money back. (And for the trolls - u better believe I have pictures and screenshots myself)
I absolutely have documentation myself. There is a reason Paypal ruled in my favor.
And not acusing Matti - but why was my "package" so easy to open in the first video? Almost like it was opened prior to the video? I have a dozen questions at this point - but I am a man of integrity.

Or are you saying the box ONLY was fake and then you just decided to keep the original cart and manual? Then to get your money back, you hit up aliexpress, waited the 6-8 weeks it takes for them to ship the fake cart, and returned that instead? I guess that explains why you waited so long to file a claim, probably just couldn't get the fake in from China quick enough.

Any reputable buyer would have had that case open, photographed and contacted paypal that day. Anytime i purchase higher end (over $100) i crack that case first thing. This guy walked into the lion's den with a piece of steak hanging out of his zipper and is wondering why his junk is missing.

I agree. No reason calling people names. I just hope the proof of David using my box, game and manual for his sales images on the wheel sales is enough to get me my money back. After that I am going to auction the box here and the money goes straight to NA as charity. This is an awesome community filled with full hearted collectors that see more than money in these old games. (btw, David was intelligent enough to never mention the manual in the claim or even now... Even though we all see it is the same one)

Absolutely repulsive. Have some self respect. It's the holiday season, a time for giving. If you can't feel empathetic at this time of the year, you need to see a pyschologist and get your life in order. Stop lying, stop denying, stop fabricating. Own up to your actions and make things right.
I think we should start a go fund me page where we can get Pheidian to fly out to Hawaii with a couple collectors and get David prosecuted for this crime plus his raffle. Like others have said perhaps start with filing paperwork with his local authorities. I know it will cost more to do but we need to protect our hobby. This is unacceptable. Who knows how many others he has done this to.

David, what you did is deplorable. You've basically got two choices at this point. Return the money and/or the original game immediately, or face felony fraud charges. If this case actually goes to court, I pray the judge throws the gavel at you.
EDIT:Been out of the loop a bit. Didn't realize the HOS was removed but good riddance. It started with a noble purpose to protect members from getting scammed, but got nasty and turned into a sort of witch hunt after a while.
Hayn, I'm glad you're attempting to make ammends, but you can forgive me by saying we still don't trust you. Assuming it's true you've had a change of heart and decided to return the money, why didn't you send the originals back the first time? You are only refunding the money because you got caught red handed? How many times have you attempted a bait-and-switch and gotten away with it? Or was it your "buyer" who conned this whole thing?
Sorry I have to operate currently on a mobile phone but this is my activity in paypal today few minutes ago. So there is no refund and all activity is dated 13th december when David got money refunded. You can see the date and time of my cellphone in the image (this is damn tricky on a phone).

No I have not. It is still being review by paypal. Since you won the claim and now it is my appeal / claim they are prosessing.
I cant cancel an appeal online, which is why is why I was required to call.
You can confirm by calling paypal.
I didnt get the confirmation email - but I assure you the claim is cancelled and the paypal representive said the money is now in your account.
