Easiest way to play an English version of Policenauts?

Not sure why I never pursued to play this but I absolutely loved Snatcher and feel like I should play this game.



What is the easiest way to play an English version?



Emulation is an option.

    Get the playstation iso. If not pre-patched, use this patch: http://www.romhacking.net/translations/1422/

    Play in ePSXe or burn and play on a real psx is you can play backups. I'm pretty sure epsxe 2.x can run it without the issues 1.7 had.

    I could have worded it a little better but I was hoping someone would look over it and give me a detailed (or somewhat) detailed explanation on where to get the emulator, where a translated ROM can be found etc...

    Was in your situation a couple weeks ago, neat game but the main character is kind of an unlikable douchebag, I'd recommend PCSX-r or if you can figure it out, I used Mednafen

    Use PCSX-R with patched ISO and use a real BIOS to avoid any issues you might encounter with the simulated one.

    Alright thanks guys I will test that one out as well....the file I have for a translated version is .mdf/.mds files am I able to convert those to ISO files using PowerISO or something?

    An MDF is just a mirror disk file. Just make a copy of the file, change the .mdf file ending to .iso instead and then you'll be able to mount it with PowerISO.



    It should work at least, but just in case it doesn't and it tells you the copy of the file is now corrupt (hence why you should do this on a copy), use this program instead to convert the original file: http://www.mdftoiso.com/



    On the subject of Policenauts, everyone seriously needs to play this game. It's the greatest thing Kojima has ever made by a wide margin.
