Best Reproduction Games?
Obviously we all know that Timewalk did some amazing work, I've picked up several of their titles. But alas, they didn't make every game that I'd like to own.
Does anyone here have experience OCD, Fishy Face, Gamereproductions.com, Immortal Gems, etc.
I don't mind paying a premium for quality work, so price isn't really a concern when looking at these. I appreicate any feedback that anyone has!

You want high quality?

x2 QFT.
Oh man. If only they actually had anything for sale at the moment... Lol
lol yeah that's the problem
Are you talking about best in terms of an actual good game, or best in terms of presentation? Because a bowtie on a turd is still a turd.
I would hope could find someone doing good work in both aspects!
If you want to spend even more money beyond that 35 dollars, the sky's the limit.
Personally I thought Timewalk did a great job with their CIBs, but at the same time I felt they DRAMATICALLY overcharged.
I had a few repros made from members here and had a local guy make me boxes just as beautiful as the Timewalk boxes, and time+materials to make those boxes (and they are BEAUTIFUL) amounted to about $13 each. (I gave him 20 each for his troubles and some good trades).
For everything else, there's Everdrives. And it's not a mistake to go that route. Otherwise you go deeper and deeper into that spendy rabbit hole.
Why the hell would you waste money on fake games when you can buy a SD2SNES or Everdrive?
Agreed last year I wanted the Dragon Quest snes games and after looking at how much I would spend on repro carts I just got a super everdrive for $90 bucks.

little off topic, but hacks work on flashcarts right? I might just get one for that

Yes, they do as long as it is not a crazy hack that is bigger than a normal cart.
2 awesome hacks I have on the nes everdrive is Metroid with built in map and save feature and Simon's Quest with a map as well. I own both those carts but these hacks are awesome. There is honestly not much bad about getting a flash cart. I tend to not load my flash carts full of games because I don't want to be going through list after list of games. I just put on the games I want to play then. It also has not stopped me from wanting to collect the real carts at all.
I review awesome games you could have commissioned as reproductions. I
I watched your review of The Incident last night actually (Yeah I am behind on the times) and I "really" want it now.

Fishy Face games actually has a link to your review on one of their games!

I like puzzles!
The Incident also has a rockin as hell soundtrack...and a cute robot....and khan.
If you were in that sexy mix, I don't even know if I could handle it.

Oh that's funny!
Everything works on a flash cart outside of a handful of games that use special chips like the Super FX and maybe a couple others (Kirby 3 I think as well). People that buy these dressed up fake games are just wasting their money on what is essentially WAREZ.
Okay Tanooki. Explain the difference between an SD card full of ROM vs a dedicated cartridge, aside from the cost factor. There is none, quit being an advocate of telling people what to do with their own damn money. Also, a flash cart modifies the experience and can cause, or hide bugs.
Also another vote for FishyFace games. Absolutely incredible quality for their products.
THE INCIDENT ISNT A REPRO, ITS A HOMEBREW
Also, its a bugfest- nothing new.
Hey guys, guess what?

Which reminds me, someone in the NESathon 2K16 was talking about something along those lines. I was curious because Ferris had been advocating at MAGFest for the catch-all term of aftermarket to then contain homebrew, repro, etc. in a part-whole relationship, but they had mentioned having strong views to the contrary (but didn't elaborate at the time, leaving me infinitely curious.)
I can't speak to bugs, though. The gameplay during the charity stream looked spot-on, but I've never played The Incident myself.

Games that are coded well will not be affected, which includes most retail games. On the NES/FC, the only games I've ever tried that work on a flash cart and not a dedicated cart are hacks, such as Donkey Kong Pie Factory, SMB Vs. Airman and Rockman CX.

The difference is that a flash cart isn't a complete and utter waste of money. I guess you dont get a bunch of fake games to brag about to your friends with a flash cart.

Its an inside joke I helped beta test it.

And that's fine if that's how you feel. Some people may only want 1 or 2 games and pay less than the cost of the flash drive, and some just like having dedicate carts, but once you start throwing the piracy thing around, there's zero difference whether it's a flash cart or a dedicated reproduction cart. Also, there's no need to be pretentious and assume everyone wants them for "bragging rights".
Also, homebrew =/= repro. I'll fight you if you think otherwise.
