So... who in here has Minty Canadian Black Boxes?

Okay guys, let me introduce this thread with what would be the nicest CAN Black Box example I've ever seen so far on eBay :

http://cgi.ebay.com/DONKEY-KONG-JR-NINTENDO-NES-GAME-COMPLETE-IN-BLACK-BOX_W0QQitemZ360131622969QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Games?hash=item360131622969&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65%3A13|39%3A1|240%3A1318

Of course, it is badly damaged at top, but still the first one I see that hasn't been squashed or chewed up in some way.

Now, I was curious to know if some of you guys have stumbled upon some really nice Canadian Black Boxes during your collecting years. Does anyone actually have a nice CAN Black Box collection to share with us?

Oh, and please show us some pics! I simply won't believe it otherwise.

  • thanks erik.

the Cdn black boxes really are so rare sealed. And even sealed they are never mint. They are great items; I love 'em. Just wish it were easier to find a few

  • I've noticed all the Canadian games have the "Mattel" logo on them, is there any reason why Mattel made these games?
  • Mattel was the main distributor here in Canada, until Nintendo set up it's own branch and did it them selves.

  • even PAL black box games are a bitch to find minty. i have a sticker sealed wild gunman and it is by far the best looking PAL black box game i've ever seen, and it still has wear here and there. only ever seen one other sealed PAL black box like this and it was a Clu Clu land bronty sold years ago.
  • on that thought, does anyone else who collects sealed games go for sealed PAL stuff? I always try to buy it whenever i see it as i think PAL sealed games are very hard to find.

Thanks a bunch for the eye candy Braveheart, those BB goodies are amazing! I'm jealous of the Balloon Fight.

Bronty : Would you mind letting us have a look at your canadian treasury? image

Personally, the only non-U.S sealed BB I ever had in hands was a PAL UK Clu Clu Land. I've made a thread about it long time ago, and the most knowlegeable users agreed that they weren't that hard to find. I haven't seen another one yet though.
  • most of my games are kept in storage so unfortunately I can't just access them from my home. I might have one or two lying around and if so I'll take a pic but most of mine aren't here
  • as I suspected, I only have a couple here
  • bronty, that final fantasy is in the plastic case backwards. please fix that and take a better picture for us. geesh, you should know better! image
  • That Wild Gunman looks awfully familiar! image
