Disagree. They are practically the same game and ducktales 2 has some more refinement. Its not possible to really be a worse game. 1st one is pure nostalgia opinion driven

Disagree 100% on that. The levels in DT 1 are far superior (though a little shorter), the music is better, and you don't lose all your gold at the end
I didn't care for the new mechanics in DT2, though they aren't horrible.
Little Samson is a decent platformer, but not nearly good enough to justify the price. There's lots of other platformers on the NES that are better.
Many could argue that its not just decent but among the best or the best. Sure there are great platformers, we've all beaten, but this one sticks out. Its price was justified when it was reasonably cheaper a few years ago.
I've been hearing Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 is worse than part 1, any truth to that?
its the same game too lol
I'm with quest on both dt2 and chip 2. If you want to argue they aren't worth the price, it's because they are so similar to the low priced originals. Almost all the high priced games can be complained about. If they have good gameplay, they probably aren't as rare as the price would suggest - true of your Taito and capcom expensive titles. If the gameplay is crap, the price is because they are actually very rare, and they are actually very rare because no one bought them - with good reason. General rules of course

if it were like a 200 dollar game id probably get it. But what is it now 1000? That's kinda ridiculous

I agree with Bert here. It's a decent game, but not $1,000 good.
Stadium Events seems to be a bit pricey for what it is. I could see this game going for a few thousand at most, but for over 10k? Come on. You'd swear there was only 50 copies or so out there. This is a game that was selling for pennies at FuncoLand a mere decade ago, now it's more than Sculpter's Cut which actually has a legit reason to be considered rare as it was only made for Blockbuster and not every location had a copy, so you can actually guestimate the amount of legit copies out there.
There are so far fewer stadium events than sculptors cut man. SE was pennies at funco land becsuse it was an old game in a database that no one wanted. Its not like they had them in stock.
Sculptors cut is pretty hard to find but its not even the same breath as stadium events.
x3, I can't justify anything worth more than MSRP ($60) from a purely gameplay perspective. They are worth more to me as a collector but there is huge pool of quality games across all systems at under $60.
I am in the same boat....once a game starts exceeding $50-60 it is not worth it just for the game at that point.
RPGs I can have a little more breathing room with because they usually are bigger time sinks so you get more of your monies worth (and they are just better, quest knows)
As a gaming experience, there isn't a single NES or SNES game worth the price of entry, in my opinion, if that price is even approaching $100.
There is just so much good content available for so much less money, and that's before you get into the OBVIOUS fact that if you can get a Powerpak or Everdrive for the price of a single game at that level, just play the entire category of expensive games via flash cart, if you really do just want to play them.

Unless it's a pinball machine, pretty much no game is $1000 good

I'm with Adam and Fsped.
Ducktales 2 is fun, in its own way, but it is in no way better than the original.
At the very best, it's comparable, but I think it's the worse game of the two.

I know this is a Nintendo board focused on collecting, but it's very hard for me to justify it anymore with the way prices are trending.
I buy what I want to play and enjoy, and leave the rest for the more serious collectors.

I don't see how anyone could really disagree with this other than the price (of entry) point.

Yeah, I aimed high.
More realistically, there are very few games in existence I'd be willing to pay more than $40-$50 for, as a gaming experience, given how much content exists in the world.
And the high end of that is reserved for homebrewers who I want to support in their efforts.

Bonk's Adventure NES isn't a bad game, but it was better on the TG-16.
The Panesians, once you look past the novelty, were done better elsewhere.
You mean which games aren't rare enough to justify the price? Earthbound.
Yeah. I sort of implied that.
Ducktales 2, the first one was much better

The first in my opinion is better and longer. The second I blew through it my first run as I found it real easy. Second however still a good game.
Final Fight Guy
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy
Competition Carts
Speed Racer/Mountain Bike Rally

Loved the first more, but really enjoyed the second. Can see your point, though.
None of them are worth the money.
