Dragon Quest Builders
Is it just me or does this game look fun as hell?....I watched a little bit of gameplay and really like what I saw.
Apparently monsters will be killed for materials to build weapons/armors and I assume things you need to build for your home/town rather than yield experience. Also you will find materials from the enviornment just like in Minecraft.
You earn experience from progressing your city/town and I believe there is an overall goal like the one in every DQ game......to kill the final Dragon.
I am not sure if it is confirmed or not yet but if there is multiplayer whether it be co-op/online that would be awesome.
So glad they have been releasing some DQ spin-offs in the West, I hope that everyone that likes this franchise buys them so we can prove that they need to keep sending DQ games our way.
Here is some footage from Youtube for reference:

You're not alone. This is the one modern title that I'm really hyped to play.
They have been lacking for me that is for sure.....Star Ocean is out later this month though which is pretty nice and should keep me occupied for a bit.
Hopefully they come out with some really nice pre-order/collector's edition packages for the DQ games....I missed out on the DQ-Heroes one and it was pretty friggen sweet!
That being said, this game looks great. Minecraft has interested me but I haven't ever felt the need to actually want to play - this looks similar but with that DQ charm. Excited that the "Dark age" of Dragon Quest in the west is over.
And shouldn't this game be called Dragon Quest Poachers? Hah.
I hope the bosses are in it and give out rare materials.

That is how it should work out, logically.....
Im guessing this is a PS4 exclusive? I would love to play it on my PC.
Yessir, PS4/Vita/PS3 I believe....time to get a 4 and build some shit!
Was going to start one but found this one instead. Anyone playing this still or like me just started? I picked it up over Black Friday sales at GS (...hush) for 30 bones, and finally sat down to try it out after I got pissed at Titanfall 2 (Viper boss).
Bear in mind I couldn't get into Mindcraft, Terreria, or the like so naturally I was hesitant but my love for DQ and a sale won me over. Well, I've been playing the hell out of it I've logged in at least 16hrs and I'm STILL on the first chapter.
I like the fact there are "quests" to kinda lead you along so it's not just a buildfest (which still tends to happen) but hopefully i won't burn out too quickly as I know there's more chapters awating.
I played the demo and thought it was awesome, the quest stuff kind of works both ways for me, I like how in Minecraft you literally just start with nothing and have to straight from the ground up.
On the flip side I like how there is a "story" involved with the game, that being said it kind of balances it out for me and is null anyway.
I have "wanted" to play but my Ex-Girlfriend still has my PS4 which I am going to go get this weekend actually....Why I left it there in the first place, I am not exactly sure.

Shar won't even let you in the door. That ps4 is hers now.

Hahahah she honestly could get away with that to be honest but she won't.
Bah damn Canadian drama, I tell ya. Grow a pair and go get your ps4 worst she can do is kill you... which would kinda suck as I'd have to find someone else to pick on.
hahaha it's not that, just hard to find time between work schedules and shit.

Take a little time off and eat more fiber. I'd be damned if some bewbilisious gurl kept my game consoles after kicking me (or themselves) to the curb.
