Hey everyone! I just wanted to first and foremost let you guys know that me and my wife have now been married 11 years and of course I'll also be celebrating Father's Day in a couple days...even though my little boy is of the purring meow meow kind (as I'm typing this he's just to the left of my bed kneading (or doing his exercises as I like to call them) and he does it in a weird way with his tail between his legs and doing some weird humping thing with his butt! He sure is one weird funny guy! Feel free to check out his pics and those of my dearly departed Tweetie (sniff...) in the link in my sig
And on that related note, I thought it'd be cute to show my wife a YouTube video showing how in Chrono Trigger (I just completed my first playthrough of the SNES version...I already had done the PS1 version a couple years back; thanks again dra600n! ) how you can get more kitties inside Chrono's house and you are not going to believe this, but she didn't like how the graphics looked in that game, saying it didn't look "realistic"! What a blasphamous thing to say about an RPG masterpiece that had among the best SNES graphics ever!! And with her being older than me and having experience with retro tech back when it was, well, "the latest gadgets" I'd think she'd know better that a 20 year old game can't be judged on the same level as say, the Gran Turismo Sport and Final Fantasy 15 videos I also showed her (she wanted "realistic graphics", well, you can't get any more realistic looking than those games right?) and she even once said Super Mario Kart was "too slow!! She was impressed by Mario Kart 8 but she has this obsession with racing games having to have a wheel controller
So you guys know how I'd like to think I'm a pretty fair judge of graphics across different time periods (for example, I just recently finished the two PS2 Kingdom Hearts games, did my first go around with the SNES version of Chrono Trigger and now working on Dragon Warrior 3 so as you can see I can easily switch from one gen to another depending on my mood) but I can't believe my wife of all people is a graphics whore.
My fiancee thinks any graphics below PS3/X360 is crap. She doesn't really play games aside from the occasional Mario Kart and Mario Party but every time she sees me playing SNES, N64 or even GameCube, she's like "What year is this from, 1980?!" I'm like "Um no... 2003..." Yeah.
In my case it was abusive "parents"...and the worst part is that even some of my own "family" doesn't believe me. Plus I had to endure quite abusive behavior at my last work place. But at least in situations like that you learn who your friends and loved ones really are
Mario Kart too slow?! According to this commercial, it has two speeds: Fast and Way Too Fast.
But according to this commercial Super Mario Kart just kinda coughs and putters along compared to the BLAST PROCESSING!!!! Hee hee maybe my wife has a point on that one

Abusive ex-boyfriend in my case.
Sworn off dating and men completely after the break up.

BLAST PROCESSING was indeed much faster than whatever the standard slownes could pull off, even with the DSP-1 less slow chip that was used on Super Mario Kart.
Well yes, a 50cc (cubic centimeters in size) engine of course is < 100cc < 150cc Of course with her two big master's degrees (all I have is two BAs from guess where ) she'd better be able to figure that out!
My girlfriend only likes modern Zelda and Mario games, the N64 and we had a ton of fun playing old Atari games one time. She prefers the Xbox One and Wii U over any other system I think.
Not even Rio, the hosting city is ready for the Olympics.
I can see what you mean; yikes! I mean I knew they were having some difficulties a year or two or so ago but I figured they'd probably have their act together by now...I mean this is South America's first ever Olympics and I really hope they make it count.
You remember your (I'm sorry to say late ) rival, The Chief? It's a wonder in this clip she's not saying "What happened this morning was an outrage! All these people want to know, where in the world are your Carmen Sandiego computer games?"
PS: I do in fact have a couple CS games, one NES and one SNES. I wonder if I should also get that free book that came with one of them it does look pretty interesting!

But we got our act together! We just shot our mascot!
So in more recent news I thought I'd show her the famous opera scene from FF6...I made sure to explain to her that this is among the most iconic scenes in RPG/FF/whatever history and to this day FF6 is still considered by many (such as IGN) as the best FF of all. I even explained that they even do live orchestra performances of this too! So I showed it to her and I fully expected her to react much like she did to the kitties in Crono Trigger...but she actually cried and became sad Unfortunately the fact that she had two previously failed marriages (the first one was an abusive one) and the singer mentions how even if she can never again be reunited with her true love she will always love him forever. I definitely didn't want to make her sad (and didn't figure she'd react to the scene at all other than meh) but still I was only trying to show her how even retro games can tell an emotional story and such.

Well I think you achieved that and then some dude!

The Atari 2600 was a good home console, but yeah, the graphics left much to be desired compared to arcades of the era.
I almost forgot to ask, if I'm able to capture you, do I still get that free trip to anywhere in North America?

Well, yes, but considering that I am in South America and can lift 190 lbs over my head, I might not be too easy to capture.
You ready for the Olympics?

Here's to another 11 years though regardless.
Time for a divorce. Lol I joke, congrats man.
I hope so because my wife was already twice divorced...and her first "husband" was quite abusive
Ouch I'm sorry man shouldn't have made that joke.

Absusive exes can really mess a girl up. Tough to learn how to function in a relationship again after that kind of thing.
Glad that it is working for the two of you for so long.

And I am also wondering where in the world are the rights to make new games using that IP.
