Gamecube HD loader
I have been getting pretty nestalgic for gamecube lately and have been playing it alot. I have a small but pretty choice gamecube collection but I always worry about discs getting damaged etc.
Is there a way to mod a gamecube to load games from a hard drive or sd card or something? Like a flash cart for gamecube. I also want to try out a few of the pricier games in the library and I figure modding a system would be cheaper than buying cubivore and fire emblem for example.
I have looked into building an emulator pc as well but it seems thats even pricier and specs are hard to even get gamecube running that well...

My preferred method for playing GC games is running isos of the games I own on my Wii/WiiU using the homebrew app Nintendon't.
There is SD Media Launcher, which lets you play backups and load isos off an SD card.

This is really good advice and is what I do. I use Nintendon't on the wii u and it runs the gamecube games perfectly from SD card. Gamecube, Wii, and Wii U all share similar hardware so it's not even emulation.

I like it says paper mario is compatabile, but yet in the list: "shrunk with gcmutil 0.5, gameplay is little bit choppy *and hangs sometimes*, buzzy sound clicks"
You know, cause the hanging up while playing, that's a minor thing. This was with the newest version of it too.

I was playing full speed GC\Wii games about 4 years ago on a budget system. I didn't try that many games, but the ones I played were all fine. Now getting Tekken Tag on PS2 running, that's the tricky one. I was at like 50 fps on my system. Almost playable to me.
