That’d make sense! Since you have the socially networked badge, what were the requirements?

So if you post in here looking for an award, PLEASE WAIT A DAY OR TWO FOR IT TO BE ADDED. If you find it has NOT been added in a few days, please PM one of the aforementioned people, preferably whoever from the above list has posted in this thread last.
1) Misadventures of Tron Bonne is not included for Mega Man because it stars a different character, but all four Mega Man Zero games are on the list despite starring Zero?
2) Yoshi's Island is required for the Mario set, despite starring a different character. If the reason is because it's called Super Mario World 2, then why is Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 not part of the Mario set? Furthermore, if the argument is that Yoshi is part of the Mario series, then why is Yoshi's Island the ONLY Yoshi game on the Mario list?
3) Remakes are not required for game sets, yet Shining Force CD is? Shining Force CD is a remake of the first two Shining Force Game Gear games. We didn't get Shining Force Gaiden in the US, but we did get Shining Force Gaiden II in the form of Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya for the Game Gear. By making us buy Shining Force CD and Sword of Hajya, it's forcing us to buy a duplicate game for the list.
4) RoboWarrior (A.K.A Bomber King) not included on Bomberman list, but Atomic Punk (A.K.A Bomber Boy) is?
I'd suggest the following changes be made to the lists to make them more consistent.
1) Add Adventures of Tron Bonne to the Mega Man list. It's either that or remove all four Mega Man Zero games, which I don't think people would be happy about.
2) Remove Yoshi's Island from the Mario list. It makes no sense that it's on the list if none of the other Yoshi games are, and Wario gets his own separate list. Even if you were to argue that Mario is occasionally playable in Yoshi's Island, the fact that Yoshi's Island became the template for the Yoshi series shows that it's the most important game in the Yoshi series rather than the Mario series. Keep in mind also that Yoshi already had a successful series of spin-off titles before Yoshi's Island even came out, making it even less of a Mario game than Wario Land whose first standalone game has Mario's name in the title.
3) Remove Shining Force Sword of Hajya from the Shining Force list, as the Sega CD version, while technically a remake, gives us a higher quality version of that game, as well as the previous game in the series we didn't get.
4) Add RoboWarrior to the Bomberman list. If Bomber Boy is on the list, so should Bomber King.

Shining Force CD also has 2 completely unique chapters unavailable anywhere else. Granted Chapter 4 is just one epic battle, but it's still additional content, so no, actually not a duplicate game, since chapters 3 and 4 are only available on the Sega CD.
I choose to consider that is has Sword of Hajya to be extra delicious gravy.

I mean, that is ultimately what I said in the post. ^_^; Look at the second half of the post. ^_^;

But sword of hajya came first, so it should (naturally) be included. SFCD came after, and while remakes aren't required, SFCD has content that isn't available elsewhere, making it also be viable for inclusion. I do see where you're coming from, but I feel like in this instance both games should be on the list. Hell, if anything, I'd rather the PS2 wastes of space get scrubbed for being nothing like the rest of the series.
Honestly my main gripe with the lists as they are now is the inclusion of Yoshi's Island on the Mario list.
Yoshi's Island is required for the Mario set, despite starring a different character.

Up until Yoshi's Island came out, the Yoshi series consistented primarily of puzzle games, but Yoshi's Island was such an influential Yoshi title that it established the series' genre, tone, and core mechanics. So why is it considered a Mario game when it's the moment the Yoshi series found it's own identity?
Yoshi's Island is the most important game in the Yoshi series for laying down the rules for every future title, yet that somehow isn't good enough to separate it from the Mario list?

We have been recently going through the lists and they are updated, I just havent edited the first post yet.
Thanks. Also I have a question about the 25+ reproductions award. Does that include homebrew/romhack carts?
I believe you're referring to the 25+ Homebrew award (there is no reproductions award)?
I believe it refers strictly to homebrews and romhacks, basically anything that is not a straight up reproduction (such as, say, a $25 Earthbound cart repro from China).
So like, I think a Super Mario Christmas hack cart would count, for instance. Make sense?

I'd have to confirm with a mod just to be sure.
I don't see a 25+ homebrew award on the list. I just see 25+ reproductions. The picture for it looks like a little wiggly sperm.

Ahhh I see. The list in the OP of this thread refers to it as "Homebrew" and the actual award says "Reproduction". I was looking on the OP and you at the list.
In that case I'll definitely have to confirm w/ the mods.

Homebrew= brand new IP, or a ground up remade port (larry on NES for example)
rom hack= reproduction (modifying existing code)
I will look into why the 25+ homebrew award isnt there anymore, I could have sworn we used to have it.

the musician badge?
Curious about that one as well (assuming you mean Community Musicians). The ~7 folks that have it look to be game and/or game music designers, so I think it's more than a general "I'm a musician" badge.

Some things I don't understand.

Oh hey I'm in the facebook group now too. I'll take that award.
Confirmed, added.
Also added for myself as I joined recently as well.

I'd have to confirm with a mod just to be sure.
I don't see a 25+ homebrew award on the list. I just see 25+ reproductions. The picture for it looks like a little wiggly sperm.
