King of Dragons SNES Continue Bubbles?

Does anyone know how these show up in the game? Are they random or based on kills or what? I always search for them by slashing behind walls and things and occasionally find em but they feel random. If they aren't it would be nice to have a list of locations an levels they show up in! I looked around a little online but didnt find much on it.

    I think they are random, but I can't say for sure. I do know they don't appear in the same place every time. My hunch is that are randomly placed throughout a small number of predefined hiding spaces.

    Thats kind of what i was thinking. I play the game with my cousin alot and we always look for them. I keep meaning to write down where i find them to see if i can get it again in that same spot but i never do. I know theres a cheat to get 99 continues but i dont like cheating and im not the best at the game.

    This is correct, the best way to fish for them is shooting behind pillars with the Elf. Normally I can find 2-3 in a play through.
