I've seen this countless times and could care less. Someone's opinion on NES games...but since it's IGN, it appears to carry extra authority (BS). All these lists suck because they aren't your own!
Yes but to make ny own list, I will have to play all 677 licensed games of the library, and this will take me years. And as the others says, the games you like are subjective. For me, the games I prefer are platformer, puzzle and rpg. Shooter genre is ok, and beat'em up is the genre I dislike the most with sport game. So everyone as is own list and maybe it is better this way.

At first I thought they mixed up Mickey Mousecapades and Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, the latter being the far more acceptable title. But then I saw they did a whole writeup.
I was also thinking they left off Gun.Nac for being too obscure, but they have Little Samson on there, so there goes that theory.
I also question all six Mega Mans (come on, three is plenty), Castlevania II (even though I do like it), DD 3, etc. I think Metal Storm is a little overrated, but it has its fans.
Am pleased to see The Guardian Legend, Batman (though that's a gimmie), Willow and Spy Hunter. Not the most offensive list.
It's decent enough, if you're new to the scene it can serve as a starting checklist IMO. Stuff like Double Dragon 3, Dragon Warrior 1, Mousecapade, and TMNT1 I would question though.
When I finish my NES/FC/FDS goals one day, I'd love to make my own 100 list.
For me the list was meh. Over half the games from my very small Nes collection(34 games) weren't on the list. No Koei titles(I get that they are a niche style of game) None of the old PC RPG ports that I love like Wizardry, Pool of Radiance and others. Arkanoid was a great arcade port. I love M.U.L.E from my C64 days. Archon is still an excellent head to head game that I still play with friends today.
It's a decent list. It has all of the standard classics, with a sprinkling of personal favorites from the writers. Pretty standard. No two people can agree on a top 100 for NES.
Still, HOW does anyone like the NES version Lode Runner, even as a low ranked pick???

I get bored very easily with those kinds of games and I cant stand RPGs (mostly).
