  • Pokemon blue on gameboy color. Was my first system and I was playing before I could read. I was about 4 years old.
  • Super Mario Bros on NES. Got the console packed with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt on Christmas 1989.
  • Mario World on SNES

I went to my uncles house when I was like 6 years old maybe? and he had that and Mario Kart, Smash TV, Spiderman/Xmen Arcades Revenge. So could've been any of those really but I like to think it was Mario World
  • Hrmm, my first taste of NES was one a friend of mine had gotten from his parents that previous Christmas when the console first launched he had Metroid and Kid Icarus along with Super Mario Bros. But for the like of me I can't remember precisely what one I played first... We'll just say SMB.
  • Popeye on the Atari 2600.
  • My first game from Nintendo was actually Donkey Kong, both in arcades and on the Colecovision. In fact, this is a solid candidate for perhaps my first video game ever. I was very young at the time and my memory is hazy but it's one of the earliest memories I have.

A bit later, I played some games from the Game & Watch series. Probably Fire or Parachute, difficult to remember which I played first.

As for proper Nintendo home-consoles, it would have been Super Mario Bros. on NES. The neighbor kids had an NES as early as '88 and I recall taking turns playing Super Mario Bros. in their living room with the lights off and only the glow of the TV screen.
  • Super Mario Bros. on NES.

You're welcome to the 3,000 members I just saved from typing this lol.
  • My aunt had an NES just before I got mine, so Simon's Quest was first.

If we're talking Nintendo game and any console, I had Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. for the 2600.
  • Donkey Kong on the TI-99/4a

    ditto

  • Couldn't say. There are a bunch of scattered, early memories, but no one "first" moment. First SMB 3, Zelda, Little Mermaid, etc. moments, but no defining first moment overall.
  • It was either SMB or RC Pro Am on the NES. Can't say for certain, because the memory is vague regarding the timeline, and both events were in the same year.
  • I can't remember the FIRST game because we got a NES when I was still very young and I can't remember a time where I didn't play video games... but it was most likely Super Mario Bros 1 or Legend of Zelda on NES. Probably Mario.
  • Super Mario Bros. on NES
  • It was either Zelda, Mario 1, or Kung Fu on NES.

This, though I distinctly remember the Game & Watch I first got was Bomb Sweeper.

I'd played an NES before, but owned that before we got our own NES in late '87.

  • Donkey Kong in Sears on an arcade machine.
  • earliest memories: Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt/Track & Field on NES and Pitfall on Atari.
  • Mario Bros. arcade.
  • I got my first NES Xmas of 1990(?) Maybe 89. But it was the Sports bundle with SuperspikeVball and World Cup, also got TMNT the same day. Pretty sure I played TMNT first.
  • Very first Nintendo game I played was Kung-Fu, Christmas '86.

Edit - If you're counting arcades, I played some games earlier, probably Donkey Kong was first.
  • Couldn't tell you. There was a NES in the house when I was born, so it could have been one of ten or twenty games we owned at that time. My earliest gaming memories are of playing Super Mario Bros and Zelda.
  • Super Mario Bros. on a friend's launch front loading NES either shortly after Christmas in 1985 or in very early 1986.
  • Either Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past or Castlevania: Dracula X, all on the Super Nintendo. I can't remember which one I played first but I know I played them only a couple of weeks apart from each other. I also know a few months later I played Super Metroid, as well. Not counting Nintendo games I believe the very first game I ever played was Toy Story on the Playstation 1.
  • Super Mario Duck Hunt on the Nintendo.
  • TMNT on NES - roughly the age of 5-7 (1991-1993)
  • SMB on NES
  • First Nintendo game ever played - Donkey Kong arcade.

First Nintendo console game I ever played - Kung Fu on a demo nes unit at our local Wal-Mart.

First Nintendo console game that I ever played that I owned - SMB when I got my NES Christmas of 88.

Yeah same with me......Probably Mega Man 3, Super Mario Bros 1/2/3 or TMNT

  • My dad let me play his gameboy with Link's awakening in it when I was 7, so that was the first game I played. What a magical moment that was playing my first video game, and a great 1st game to play too. The first game I myself owned however, was pokemon red.
