Life Is Strange
Anyone play this game? I finished it on Monday and man, that game and some of the choices you have to make were really getting into my head. I love the way it deals with the butterfly effect. The character development for Max and Chloe was great, and it dealt with a lot of issues that video games tend to shy away from. The time rewind mechanic was also a neat feature.
There were some parts I didn't care for, namely the stealth section in the final chapter and the bottle collecting in chapter 2, but all in all a great experience.

Great game, the last part has hell though. I spent about as long as I could before making the decision, then I got to see a nice cinematic of the town being destroyed. But hey, now Max has proof that she's not crazy and can use her powers (hopefully) without repercussion.
SPOILERS:
I made the same decision. I felt like everything I went through in the game was to save Chloe. I couldn't just let her die now. But man that was a really hard decision. Knowing that the whole storm was really your fault and hundreds if not thousands died because you wanted to save one person.
The whole part where Chloe was paralyzed also struck a chord with me. The decision whether to help her kill herself or not didn't end up really affecting anyting else in the game, but it affected me enough that I had to take a break from the game and walk around to clear my head.
Yeah, finished it a couple weeks ago. Thought it was awesome! And I liked how Chapter 5 made fun of Chapter 2.
I played through the collection mode last night to get the last pictures I needed and the part with the bottle hunt during the nightmare was really funny. At least they made them easy to find this time, I walked around for 20 minutes trying to find the one in the hidden campfire section during Ch. 2.
Ending-wise, I chose the other option (save the town). I figured choosing your friend over a whole town of people would have been somewhat selfish. Man that was definitely a hard choice though.
I loved this game! While the gameplay is pretty straight forward, the choices you have to make along the way are sometimes difficult. I really enjoyed the story telling and narrative of the entire game. I'd love to see a similar type of game by the same company (DontNod). If you liked Life is Strange, I highly suggest Firewatch although the ending is a bit of a let down.
These kind of games go to show how a great story can truly pull you in without all kinds of crazy combat, inventory, and upgrades like we see in most games. After all, most Final Fantasy games are somewhat the same in their combat/upgrade system but the stories are what set them apart. It's nice to see that modern devs haven't lost their touch with good story telling. Life is Strange is easily a 9/10 in my opinion.
Also, an upcoming game that I think would appeal to the largely old school audience here called I Am Setsuna looks really promising. It's basically looks and plays like a 90s RPG with a good story. Check out some of the talk surrounding it if you're interested!
