Bah!   you wish! Besides, I don't drink Jack Daniels, fake ass whiskey. Better be Kentucky. i'll drink Canadian before I drink that JD.

the weirdest thing to me was when you got out that poster of Fabio with the bologna taped over that hole torn in it... Told me it was some kind of Canadian coming of age thing, "all the hockey players do it"....ooooookaaaaay.

Thank you man! If we're lucky, that Bimmy jerk will be totally impressed by the superior quality of my storytelling and will just disappear in the air

Haha! In the story he married a dude and had kids with him. Whaddya know, babies DO come out the butt! HAHAHA!

Haha, they definitely do in the best fairy tales

Billy married Bo Abobo??????  Good thing this story isn't canon to the Billy Lee stories    But seriously, I got a good laugh out of it.  There will be more stories/humorous intros throughout the rest of the year, but probably nothing on the scale of the Paperboy story.  It was fun to write but it took up a loooooot of my spare time.
  • Dreamt up during battletoads......

    Ironsword demanded a prototype...

    Concept completed yesterday...

    Final product this morning....

Lady and losers (especially you sandafloor) I present to you.

The competition reset button by The Grinder.

I'm sure you can do this wirelessly and I had to completely sacrifice controller port 2 but I can now reset my NES, from my recliner. Fuck.ya.

Sometimes I like playing in this contest to make me appreciate a game I didn't previously like or haven't played before.  And sometimes I like that I have an excuse to play an old favorite.  This is an old favorite of mine, but I haven't played much since 1987 or so.

Nice. Although I can see this getting accidentally pushed during a really good run, where I cam also see it getting thrown against a wall.

It actually has a pretty good amount of resistance and I put it on the lil table.

I'm more of a get up a stomp around the room cussing and doing that growl thing when you clench your fist, lol. Then I'll do that luagh that is like "you sob, I hate you".

I do usually do the Happy Gilmore minus the throwing and breaking stuff. Lots of swearing though.

  • Phase 12 took a while to figure out. I hope everyone's trying to solve these on their own with no assistance from Gamefaqs or Youtube.

Yep! Games like this are no fun otherwise, though the coin hunts and secret item spawns add a bit of chance to the scoring

If the game is fun, I give it that respect.  So far my one attempt was fun.

  • If there's one thing important about this game, is that it is fun! Also, don't forget about getting that super hammer guys
  • I'll have to get back into the game with this one.
  • Man I totally forgot I'm out of town again from Friday-Sunday. Guess I'm saddled with playing this sucker on my 3DS ><

  • Love this game!!

  • "1 Loop only (100 stages)"

If you can beat all 100 levels with 5 lives, you're a god, lol. I never see this on lists of hard games, but a 1cc would probably be much harder than beating Battletoads. Tom freakin' Votova reached level 75 in the 2012 contest.

Is there a way to play NES on my dsi?

That's really a 'just in case' rule, cause if someone can beat them all you don't want him to start over.

I was just thinking about what an accomplishment it is to 1cc this beast. Apparently it takes 4 hours according to another contest thread.

I'm probably reaching my limit of how high a score I can get in a few days. The difficulty shoots up fast so I shudder to think what the later levels are like (I guess I could just try them, heh). If I can hit around 200k with my current methods  then I'm done.

4 hours?! Wow. I don't think I'd have the patience for that. I like the game....but not THAT much.

4 hours of a game like this would be mentally exhausting.

Doubt it.  This was an Ambassador exclusive, unless they've released it since

  • After way too much grinding, I'm done. I think I got about the best score that I can do. Have fun, everybody.
  • You have to make sure you're pressing exactly the direction on the controller or you'll accidentally fall of ladders and such. This can lead to some cheap deaths, especially when using a PC gamepad.

I'm glad you mentioned this!  I recently upgraded my launch Ambassador 3DS with a New 3DS XL and Wrecking Crew carried over.  That will help me practice!  Looks like Wrecking Crew is available in the eShop for purchase too.

I still want to do my "official" run on console though.  The VC version retains the high score unless you do some shenanigans to do a hard reset.  Thus it will be impossible to prove that any score was made this week if played on the 3DS.  I know this contest relies on the honor system, but it's worth bringing that up just in case.

Scored 97,800 on my first try.  Shooting for a respectable score at least!

  • Well, since my 3DS is my only option this week, I can probably provide a "before" pic to prove that my existing high score is one where I couldn't figure out how to beat level 1

You can do a hard reset by powering off the 3DS when Wrecking Crew is running.  Actually you can just go back to the home screen from the power down screen and that works too.  The before pic is the cleanest way to prove your score, but you don't need to convince me.
