To be honest, I probably shouldn't be spending the money on an LE anyway. I'm just afraid I won't be able to snag a standard when they go on sale. I'll just continue stalking bunny on his Facebook page waiting for the starting pistol to fire off.
Hey, thanks man. I appreciate the thought and I would still totally spend the money but it seems against the spirit of what bunny is trying to do by rewarding those individuals who have best supported NA and RetroUSB over the years. Any sort of "horse-trading" as others have referred to it (or charity in this case), if allowed, would make this process messy and unfair.
LOL, somebody swapped the boards. That's funny! More releases should be done this way!
Wrong.
There was no swapping of boards ever. Once assembled they were never opened again.
These were programmed, manufactured, assembled by RetroUSB. Then they got shipped (without numbered labels) to Wafflefoot for use in the Tournament at PRGE.
Once at PRGE, Wafflefoots assistant numbered each cart label not knowing the title screens were numbered. It was a clerical error discovered after we got home from a weekend of partying and drinking.
No need to get defensive. I just thought it was ironic that everyone got scrambled numbers for their carts.

There probably are more, but no one plays these things anyway so we will ever know.
Somebody had to play them (at least once). How else would we know that Robin/Thors names are on the Final Score screen...and that they will not upload scores to the AVS scoreboard system
You bring up an excellent point. A number of games get LE releases with the numbers displayed prominently on the title screen.
For instance, my 0-to-X homebrew has NA #99 burned into the title screen. If the AVS uses checksums to verify game ROMs to prevent cheating, then each LE game will have a slightly different checksum and fail verification. Unless the AVS ignores these bytes, then LE homebrew with numbers burned into the ROM won't work, but standard RE releases will.

In all honesty, I was kidding with the "horse trading" bit, asTulpa put it. It would be a douche move for a member to sell his or her slot for profit, unless ownership of the actual cart changed hands. Honestly my #64 NAHBWC cart was a gift from Paul so I would feel guilty if I ever sold it. If I ever did sell, I would auction it here and give half the proceeds back to NA.
I'm a bit confused about how this whole thing works. If three people have an LE #22 of something, there is only one LE #22 AVS to give away. Suppose nobody posts a #23 or #24 of anything. It would be a bit unfair to deny people an LE AVS simply because their LE numbers don't match what's available. Also a hella lot of LE releases had less than 100 copies (and a few had more) so in such cases number matching would not be feasible for everyone.
Say Joe has #22 NWC and Ted has #22 NCC. Can Ted claim a spot other than 22 if it's available?
I was wondering the same.

Not to derail the thread any further, but I posted a topic in the Brewery concerning this issue:

So owning a numbered cart will not grarantee a slot for the AVS, if someone else claims the number printed on your cart. That's kind of sad actually. I thought people with the required LE loot could actually get their hands on an LE AVS slot regardless of whether their number was already taken by higher priority game. The whole matching numbers thing seems kind of forced.
Sounds like some horse trading is in order. Since I plan on waiting out for the RE, I would like to claim my #64 slot (NAHBWC #64) for the LE AVS and give it to one of the poor souls that got bumped off the list simply because the number printed on their LE cart(s) matched someone elses. No fee will be charged for this service, though I may accept a friendly Purple Ganon!
@krankcolc, feel free to post pic of your #30 NWC. I could "horsetrade" my #64 slot to you!
Chill man there's going to be 2 more rounds, and I think everyone that wants an LE will be able to get one, as they are pricy and will not be on everyone's want list due to that fact.

Here is the best I can do since I wont be home to get a pic with anything in the background. these are all #33s, and i have all 4 from round 1 in this pic
edit: thats a lie... i was never able to track down the retrousb nwc #33. i wonder who has that bad boy!!!
I have a NWC bought late in 2009, any chance it is numbered (I kept it sealed so far)?
I think bunny numbered the numbered copies of things on his sticker seal. I can't confirm that though. I can't see the numbering on the sealed ones of his other games in my pic above. Either there was a Post-It Note on there or they were numbered on the sticker

Why, Penguin? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?
Brian - Can I give my spot to Airlock?
If so, I'll post a pic for him tonight.

#26... (and #40). I also have some NWCs and NCCs that I'll get around to posting later for the sake of it

Yes, it's #11.
11 is already taken! And now its been updated to include the original carts for NWC. Theres way too many other recent versions...
I have a picture of all the gold carts ready for round 2!
Which number are you going for?
Say Joe has #22 NWC and Ted has #22 NCC. Can Ted claim a spot other than 22 if it's available?

does my 10% off golden ticket count for the LE version or is that only for the RE?
Also... can I get bumped during rounds 2 or 3? Or am I safe since I used a NAHBWC?
Thanks!

It looks like the newer sealed non-numbered version started for sale in June 2008,
http://vintage.nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=5&threadid=8978
and Bunny sold off #256 in April 2008, I think that was the last one

So I would guess yours has no number
