I was glad to see Dallas come back to win that game. After 1 quarter it was just feeling like a loss coming. But the defense, as bad as it is, only allowed 3 more points the rest of the game. They also made some big plays at the right time. The offense got back to steam rolling with the running game and Dak making the throws he had to, and just eating up clock for 3 quarters.
So the worst dallas can be on romos projected return is 3-3. Thats a nice feeling since im sure itll take a game or two for him to get his feet under him. Sucks potentially his first game could be philly. That dline is legit. Even if romo goes down, feel good about dak finishing the year. Its a win however it shakes out now imo.
I hope Tyron Smith will be ready for Romos return. That will be key in making sure Romo doesn't get hurt again. I like Dak, but I don't think hes ready to take Dallas for a deep run. I'm just hoping Dak can hand over a winning record over to Romo. Also Cowboys are getting D-Law back this week, they need his pass rush desperatley.
My Bears finally got a win and didn't look completely pathetic. Now can it continue is the question...
That was just lions doing lions things. They always lay random eggs.
True, the Lions played poorly. However, the Bears had looked absolutely terriblue until yesterday. They didn't look amazing at all, but they were able to do something. I'm just hoping it'll give them enough of a boost to actually look like a football team out there in the coming weeks.

It's been more than a decade of feeling like this team goes nowhere without Romo. It's nice feeling like they can still be very good without him. But I really want to see Romo have a season with a good ending, for once.

Tank will need some time to get rolling. I'm hopefull as well but not expecting much from him the first 2 or 3 games. I doubt he'll really even be in football shape for a while. I agree with Quest about 3-3 without Romo being a win. It only gets tougher from here. That first INT from Dak is coming at some point. I just hope it's something he can overcome without taking a loss.

Oh for sure, but even if he's not 100% just by him being here adds much needed depth. 3-3 would be fine, I'm just hoping for a winning record even if it's a game over 500. It would give Tony some cushion because just like Law he'll need time to adjust after being out that long. I know that is easier said than done with a tough part of the schedule up next. I just hope Cowboys fans won't melt down if Tony has a bad start. I can hear the Dak chants now.

There is a tough transition coming...Romo to Dak. Some fans will be on the Dak train too soon, some will be on the Romo train too long. Hopefully Garrett knows when to pull the trigger. The word "deserves" comes to mind here. Romo deserves to have every chance to go win a Super Bowl. But "deserves" can cost you a playoff run too. It's a tough spot to be in. But atleast there seems to be a future for the team. Didn't feel that way 2 months ago.

Do you guys listen to The Dan Patrick Show? There's a regular caller from Irving, Texas named Shay. Die hard Cowboy fan. I think some of his rants are even on YouTube. If you're into the Cowboys, you'll LOVE what this guy has to say. Really entertaing stuff. You should check it out.
As as for me, I hate the Cowboys. But they might just have something special here with Dak. Even if Romo gets healthy, he shouldn't play if Dallas keeps rolling like this. It's what Brady did to Bledsoe and that worked out pretty well for New England.

At that moment in time. Bledsoe was not near the QB romo is right now. I dont see what is so crazy for people to think that if romo struggles or gets hurt dak comes right back in. Romo is due a lot of money over daks rookie deal and even trading him after next year is a lot of dead money to take on for only a 5 million gain in cap.
While Dak has athletic ability to extend plays, romo can put dallas in the right play pre snap and is more of a passing threat the D has to stay honest with. Romo also is way better in the redzone especially w/ the chemistry of dez bryant. Dak cant recognize defenses yet and they are easing him along with a more simplistic playbook. Dak has been everything dallas needs him to be, but not enough imo to warrant starting over romo. It really shows in the redzone. If no one punches it in running, then dallas really struggles to get TDs inside the redzone. It doesnt show up in the stats but Dak should have had atleast 3 interceptions already which defenders dropped. Got lucky on them.
Dak looks really impressive for where he is in his career right now. Absolute draft steal. But you have to give it to romo this year, with dak there as a safety net. Then you judge how he plays if hes healthy. That can dictate where you start next year in evaluating the starter. If romo takes you on a deep playoff run, then he should get the nod going into next year.
I would also add, dak really hasnt beaten someone good yet. We are about to find out a little more about the team against cincy and GB coming up. He lost his debut to the giants, which was because we couldnt score in the redzone. He beat redskins, Bears, and the 49ers. Not much there to scare you. Eager to see how well he plays the next two weeks. GB defense isnt something to really be scared about, but youll have to keep up with aaron rodgers who will destroy dallas' defense. The defense has been very bend dont break this year, but the lack of a consistent pass rush and thin at linebacker has hurt. Mo claiborne has been great at corner though. Grading out top 5 in the league right now.

I think I agree with everything you said Quest. I'm fully expecting a tough run here, and eventually pressure to get Romo back early.
My Vikings are looking damn good! Really impressed with how quickly Bradford has adjusted, and he's yet to turn the ball over! Hoping for big things this year, we're long overdue!
As a Packers fan, I'll completely admit the Vikings are legit. The true concern, and not saying this as a dick Packers fan, is that while Bradford is a solid NFL caliber QB, he seems to be made of glass. Keep him healthy and they'll surely make a deep run. Without Bradford though idk...
Defense is the reason we're winning games, I agree. As a double bonus, I'm slowly converting my wife over since she runs with the Vikings defense in her fantasy league :-D
Bradford is game managing the hell out if those vikings. Defense is legit and probably should get 95 percent of the credit though lol
No way. Have you watched any of the Vikes games? Trust me, we've had so many "game managers" that I almost forgot what a real quarterback looks like. He's putting the ball where game managers can't. The defense is unreal though.
Real numbers for Tannehill for the 1st half: 3/7 for 20 yards. Enough is enough.
He's awful. Head coach is firm that he starts phannyhill the rest of the year. Did you hear the boos today? Matt Moore might not be the most athletic guy but I feel like he's a better football player than tannehill, and he's more emotional. Tannehill could get sacked three times in a row and you wouldn't be able to tell if he was winning or losing the game. No emotion. His body language never says "I want to win!".
Tannehill is the best QB we have had since Marino FACT. 9 coaches since 2003 lol. He hasn’t made the playoffs yeah yeah. Would the Colts make the playoffs playing in the AFC East? Before last year people were questioning Cam Newton as well.
Again we are 4 games into the season. Did you expect the Dolphins to beat the Seattle, Pats, and Cincy on the road?
I need to see something out of Tannehil before the season ends. If the Dolphins end up 3-13 I am all for moving on.
Tannehill sucks! Lol! Hahaaa! Got booed good today
Chad Pennington is definitely the best qb Miami has had since Marino. Fiedler, Moore and Harrington have played better than Tannehill has.
I did not expect all the road wins but I did think they could be 2-3/3-2. The point is no matter what there record is Tannehill has played awful!

You would think he would have developed an urgency or need to move in the pocket considering he has been destroyed in the pocket since he started in the league. Failure to not develop that sense or just mental awareness is no ones fault but his. So many excuses, but not many put the blame on him.
It actually hits some points I have been stressing to anyone willing to entertain a conversation on why Tannehill is not the QB some people envision.
It feels as though he could probably benefit being on another team. Maybe he does not have it to make it on another team, but I believe his time in Miami is running out, regardless of what Gase said and maybe he could benefit from a fresh start elsewhere... with yet another offense.
For the record, I put my last bit of trust in him by starting him over picking up Mariota. He had been my back up to Cam, but he will be dropped as soon as I can.
I do not like being so critical of players, but the Dolphins organization has been in shambles for far too long and this Tannehill situation just gets worse every week. Hey, at least the team might have a higher draft pick at this rate!
Whelp, safe to say we've seen the last of Tony Romo as the starter of the Cowboys unless Dak gets hurt.
keep telling yourself that. He is going to be the starter when hes healthy. Hes better than Dak. Dak has been great but you dont think tony with this running game wouldnt have the same success at minimum? Before his collarbone lost season last year , he was arguably the nfl mvp.
Bradford is playing much better than a game manger right now. Whether or not that keeps up remains to be seen.
The Romo era in Dallas is over.
Brady is back.
And the Skins, while looking entirely unimpressive today, are 3-2. I don't think there's a stat for it, but we have to be leading the league in "Passes where the receiver was behind the defense and was overthrown by a step or two" (i.e. should have been a TD). 3 more today, Jackson, Reed and Davis, probably at least 10 on the season now. Cousins hit a big one to Jackson in the must win over the Giants two weeks ago but has been horrible with the deep ball otherwise. For the Skins to be 3-2 without the ability to hit the big play right now... I'll take it. Better times ahead.

I think I agree with everything you said Quest. I'm fully expecting a tough run here, and eventually pressure to get Romo back early.
Damn niners look terrible
Agreed >.>
Eh gonna be a long season
Good luck with that NFL D coordinators. Imagine if Dion Lewis comes back healthy in a few weeks. Yikes.

I read this article earlier while I was looking to see what reactions to the crowd booing him were: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/ryan-tannehill-has-run-out-of-excuses-for-his-poor-play-092916
