The real Patriots decided to play the last few minutes of the half.
O-line was absolutely horrible for most of the half and the defense at times wasn't much better. Let'a hope they've made some adjustments and keep the momentum going into the second half.
Thought the OL was ok and Brady couldn't find anybody downfield.
Quest better get ready to never see Romo start again.
Yeah, it would be crazy for them to start Romo when he is ready with their future playing as well as he has been. Hopefully Romo's had some time to talk to Bledsoe to see how he felt 15 years ago!
Skins, 4 and 2! Total domination of the Eagles from beginning to end, score was closer than it seemed. Ran the ball down their throat and made the rookie QB look like a rookie.
Dsk didnt play that great today guys. Good team win. But he turned it over twice and his throws were off. Defense and zeke get credit more for todays team win.
there is no qb controversy. Romo starts when healthy and active and a full week of practice with first team.
Romo gives you the better chance to win when healthy. People short term memory not having seen him play makes people especially non dallas fans and the dumb dallas fans forget how good he is
this was definitely daks worst game of the year. The defense played great.
I hate to be too much of a Romo-sexual but the last time he had a running game like this they went 12-4 and missed the NFC championship game by a bad call. I know they would have had to stop Rodgers with 4min left but who know what would have happened? I really hate to see Dak sit at this point, but the upside of Romo is higher than the upside of Dak at t his point. But we're getting to the point where we're splitting hairs. I believe Romo will get to play. If things don't go well then Prescott may be coming back in pretty quickly. Again, it's a good situation to be in but kind of heartbreaking if it goes bad for Romo.

highlights and final stat line looks reasonable and show a different picture of how the game went. Dak wasnt very sharp this game. He played fine enough to win. Rodgers was awful and the D showed up more today which was shocking to me. Something is wrong with Green Bay.
This offense with dez and a healthy romo can be lethal. With dak its already pretty good. O line is playing better than they ever have with romo and Id like to see what he could do with zeke back there. I want to see more of the planned checkdown and screen game with zeke. With all these stacked boxes with dak you dont see as much of it. Having bryant on the field with romo will open that up a lot more.
^ I'll give it to the Cowboys they whooped us good, but honestly our secondary would get ate alive by any top-5 college team currently. Very injury depleted. Sure we HAD the #1 run D walking into this game, but we really didn't play any good running teams yet so yeah Zeke got us good.
We had a chance to pull it around and make it a one score game in the second half but goodness Green Bay is not clicking. Rodgers has not been his normal self for about a year now, our footballs have grease on them and we can't avoid stupid penalties even if we knew about them in advance. Grrr...very disappointed Packers fan here. Looking like time for a coaching change if you ask me.

The problem is that when Romo isn't sharp you lose by 2 td's. It's funny to see the people come out supporting Dak continuing to be the starter....you know, dumb football guys that know nothing about the Cowboys or the position like Staubach, Aikman and Favre. Also interesting that Jerry Jones didn't come out and say that Romo is the starter when he's ready at his news conference yesterday, like he did last week.
Yeah I don't see how you can start Romo vs Philly after the bye. With Jerry Jones anything is possible but even I don't think he'd be dumb enough to do that. Momentum and team chemistry is huge in this league. You don't want to risk messing that up.
The better question will be how short is the leash on Dak. Does Romo come back after the Cowboys next loss? Or what if it's a game when the Defense gives up a ton of points and the QB play was still good? Those will be the interesting scenarios.
Romo isnt starting vs philly. Hed only have one padded practice. That hasnt been the realistic target date for weeks. Its been cleveland week 9 for awhile now.
Jerry just last week said its tomos team. He is being vague right now because it gets people talking about dallas. He just wants the team taking all the headlines. Funny you mention aikman. He doesnt like romo. He broke all his records. Aikman hasnt cared for the cowboys in years. Cant stand when he does cowboy games. His commentary and caliling games for years have made me actually not like him. After all he accomplished for my favorite team being a legend that should tell you what you need to know.
And donor. Read what i said . "Dumb cowboy fans"
what dak has done has allowed dallas to take it slow with romo. Can wait till hes fully 100 % ready to go.
You guys just regurgitate what you here from the tv who want a controversy because they're the media. Romo has more chemistry with these players. Hes played with all the receivers for years. Only different player is zeke. Which is an upgrade. Dak turned it over twice last game nearly 3 times and once the game before. If rodgers was sharp yesterday we actually probably lose. He was awful.
I heard this said on sports talk radio (so take it with a grain of salt) Romo will play next year but not for the Cowboys. I'm not sure I buy in to this but it's something interesting to talk about. Where would you want to see him play and what do you think he could do?

That would be dumb imo. The cowboys eat 19 million dollars of dead money if they trade romo before next season.
Only netting a 5 million dollar cap savings. Now remember youd still have to sign a backup to eat into that 5 million. So regardless that 19 million is getting spent, so is romo worth 5 million to the team? Id say so. It totally would depend on how he played this year. Trading him before next year just doesnt save anything and there isnt really any incentive.
I know people on talk radio or tv dont ever think anything through though. They never look into details.
Romo is worth the five for backup, but if you can get a second round pick and keep him from being a distraction, you do it. Not sure if there would be a team willing to give up a second, as Romo isn't getting any younger or healthier. Jets maybe? Bradford and Jimmy G will be much more sought after than Romo at this point.

Maybe Denver, thinking about it.
Coming from a Pats fan of course... the rest of us will view him as Cassell 2.0, a product of the scheme.
A desperate team may take a flier on Jimmy G (Browns, San Fran, etc.), but anyone on the cusp of being a contender would rather have a qualified veteran like Romo (even though he's injury prone). Same reason Favre kept finding a job in the league even when GB wanted to move on from him.
Skins, 4 and 2! Total domination of the Eagles from beginning to end, score was closer than it seemed. Ran the ball down their throat and made the rookie QB look like a rookie.
He definitely looked like a rookie for the first whole game all season. The tough thing for Eagles fans to remember is that expectations definitely need to remain tempered. Easier said than done after getting a look at what this kid is capable of. Skins kept control of the clock, and the Birds had no answer on offense. Not going to win many games with the offensive output at 6pts. D/ST scores make it look close (and Philly actually had a few chances to tie) but our offense laid an egg
Bryant said he cut the middle and ring fingers on his right hand while cutting carrots for some soup, but he called it "extremely, extremely minor."
I cut my finger on an nes system tray. I dont see the point in reporting this like its a news story. Thats what you get for dallas. No other teams get coverage like this lol.

Yeah it's front page news anytime Romo or Dez have an unscheduled bowel movement

Ah, yes, the magic "scheme" that has 16 years of tape at this point and yet others somehow can't seem to emulate.
Also, forgot to mention that Dak's success really kind of drives home the point that Romo is just a system QB. Dak, too, obviously, and Bledsoe before Romo. What's weird is that Bledsoe was only 5-13 with Belichick, so I guess he's maybe a semi system QB.

Ummm.... did you forget the 2015 Cowboys? Romo 3-1, Everyone else, 1-11. No, Romo is not a system QB. He's not elite (let's not have that argument again), but he's better than average. His problem is that he's frail at this age, not his talent level.
Better than any Patriots QB not named Brady, that much is for sure.

Nothing to really be happy about here. We should not have won that game.

84-154 (54.5%), 878 yds, 2 td, 10 int, 48.6 rating
Aaron Rodgers has a completion percentage of 60%, bottom 5 in the league. Is Olivia stealing his powers?
Indeed. She's pregnant and is going to have a super baby. Damn woman.
