Sadly there is some truth to that. We played like garbage for 3 quarters last week and finally played like us in the 4th. That is not going to get the job done.
  • Superbowl, Baby.

Can't wait to see Steven A. Smith eat a huge pile of excuses tomorrow.
  • Steelers defense sucks. Ben is sucking. He needs to step it up right now for them to have a chance.
  • Pats/Falcons is going to be a good Superbowl.
  • Pats are straight spanking the steelers.

    Can't wait to see a Pats/Falcons superbowl.
  • I want to see the line but Falcons have to be favorites IMO. I'd say they feel like a 3 point favorite and honestly would be shocked if they didn't win. Too good of a team and the Patriots haven't played a good offense in months.
  • And boy this has been the worst NFL playoffs I can remember. Outside of the Cowboys and Packers game none of them have been worth watching unless it's your team playing. Hopefully Super Bowl is within 7 at least.

He's not good on the road. Not sure why some QBs are,but he is.

I was was hoping they would upset New England but they just have Pittsburgh's number.

I really hope Atlanta wins. I don't hate the Patriots, but I am tired of seeing them winning.

Plus I want to see a new team win. The Patriots already have 4 titles,I don't think they'll be too heartbroken if they lose in the Super Bowl.

The Cubs finally got off the schneid,so maybe they can transfer their karma to the Falcons.

Overall it has been a pretty disappointing playoffs. Only one good game so far and only two close games. Was hoping for better but it is what it is.
  • I love it when the Pats stomp Tomlin. He's such a D-Bag.

Lol. I was hopeful KC would have won last week. Alex Smith sucks but that defense would have given Brady a lot more problems that Pittsburgh ever did.

Agreed. Too bad he'll never be fired. He's wasted such a good team for so many years.

    Pats -3.5 is the line.

and they just played Pitt. Not Atlanta, granted, but that's a good offense.

  • LOL Kraft is so fucking wasted.

Yeah,I figured the Patriots would be favored. -3.5 seems about right. Haven't seen what the O/U is but if I had to guess I'd say it's 51.

  • Woohoo! Patriots back in the Superbowl again!

Damn, about what the ATL/GB game was.(59.5 I think is where it ended up) I can't remember the last time I saw O/Us that high for an NFL game.
  • Gotta root for the Falcons in the SB, even as a MA native and Eagles fan. Hoping for a shootout either way.

    Most likely going to be a shootout,which...I can't believe I'm saying this....favors Atlanta. M

New England should study the film from the Eagles game where they pounded them with the run game.

If if the game is high scoring,I believe Atlanta wins and I think a low scoring game goes to New England. We'll see how it plays out.....in two weeks.

Ugh,I've always hated the two week gap. So pointless. I guess it's not now with the Pro Bowl...sort of...it's a glorified exhibition game after all.

  • I'll watch the last few minutes if it's close, otherwise....Patriots, blegh.
  • Pro bowl is dumb. Especially the timing of it. In theory, it's awesome. The best players in the world facing off. But some don't show up and no one takes it seriously. It's just for fun. I would say that it should be for something, but even the MLB doesn't take theirs seriously.
  • Neat, I got the match-up right! Hopefully Touchdown Tom gets it done in Houston and I get the last game right, too.
  • The way the game is played dictates that exhibition games are useless. Risk of injury is way too high for exhibition games. It would be less pointless to have all the pro-bowlers play poker or bowling.

There are benefits to actually releasing him over trading him for the cap

Why do you have to be some smarmy ass all the time dude? You never bribg sny real discussion in here. Its just to tell someone "they have no clue" without ever giving a reason. Its hilarious because youll criticize and dismiss my opinion of romo but then use the same kind of argument to try and defend tannehill.

You disappear for weeks just to come back and talk shit. I stay here and talk and explain an opinion at least win or lose. Dolphins lose and your ass disapears like a coward till you see someone you can attempt to trash talk to and put down.

Cant even have a discussion with someone like you. All trash talk, no substance.

You are a joke. Every time you are wrong you try to justify why you were wrong or not wrong anymore. You live in your own reality. That’s why anything you say holds zero value because when you’re wrong you will just try to justify how somehow you were right. It’s not like you said the Cowboys could possibility get a first for Romo. You said you best watch we are getting a first for Romo. You stand behind nothing and your opinion is meaningless. No circumstances from week 11 to now changed with Romo. Did he somehow get 6 years younger? Does he somehow have no injury concerns?

I disappear for weeks and then come back to talk shit? Really did I come here to run my mouth after the Cowboys lost to the Packers? Nope. (I called the Cowboys losing their first game months back in this thread though.) Most of our interactions take place after you run your mouth about the Dolphins…Which doesn’t bother me as I don’t have thin skin like you.

Point on, we really need to make a change to defensive coordinator - the soft bendy defense has been a hole for us for years.

Screw all ya haters, the Packers got farther than 28 other teams this year, and took out the #1 seed in the NFC.  I'd rather they lost now they get stomped on in the Super Bowl.  The Falcons are insanely good right now, healthy and balanced all around team.  They were clearly the better team.  We actually missed out on about 6-8 great opportunities that could have made this game different but we simply didn't.

  • Cowboys are out of the playoffs, and this is a page 3 topic. How come?

    Nolan Bros, where you at?

I love the Falcons, but tell me why you believe your team could win. I want some losing excuses. Like that "dez caught the ball" from last year!
  • I'm just enjoying the ride once again. Atl is legit, and Ryan is playing out of his mind. They flew under the radar all year. The Cowboys were the story of the regular seasons and Rogers took the late season/post season spotlight. Meanwhile, Atlanta was plugging along and doing their thing.

I certainly hope the Pats win this year. It would be the perfect middle finger to the commissioner. Brady and Bill would essentially solidify their place as number 1 and number 1, and the team would enter dynasty territory.

With that said, I don't hate the Falcons. I don't think I could stomach losing to the Cowboys, the Seahawks, or the Giants (again, and again). Ryan could shut up everyone that's called him a choke artist and a new team could rise above the fold for once.

I'm looking forward to a high scoring shootout and a game that elevates above what has been an otherwise disappointing post season.

The Pats D is better than they are getting credit for, my prediction: Pats 24 - ATl 17

yeah when you play the pats it all comes down to converting tds instead of fgs. They give up yards but not a ton of points
  • So... SB is almost here, get in your picks!

Falcons 31 - Patriots 27 is my guess.

Either way, please give us a game decided within a TD. No more of this one sided blowout stuff. I was pretty amped up for Broncos vs. Seahawks a couple of years back and we all know how that went. SB blowouts are the worst.
