Favorite NES Games

Im just curious what everyone's favorite NES games are. Im trying to get all the fun games before the duds and im interested in finding out what are some hidden gems.

My favorites include Battletoads and Bignose the caveman.

  • castelvanias, ninja gaidens, contra, the megaman series, mario, legend of zelda, darkwing duck, revenge of the joker (batman), kid icraus, mike tyson, dubble dragons, are some of my favories that i can think of off the top of my head at the moment
  • well what RunUover says and I would like to add, The adventure of link, StarTropics, Crystalis, Boulder dash, metal gear and probably some more but the titles aren't coming to me yet.
  • i always thought metal gear was a little overated myself but you may still like it
  • under the radar goodies: Metal Storm, Shatterhand, Kickmaster, Panic Restaurant, Micro Machines



    Other Goodies not mentioned yet: Bubble Bobble (all in series), Snow Brothers, Lolo games, Fire N Ice, Solomon's Key, Dragon Warrior games (if you like RPG)

    Thank you, for letting me like Metal Gear. image I owned this game when I was a small boy, and played it over and over again. I loved it and still do.

    Seriously, I always enjoyed River City Ransom alot...
  • Aside from what's already been mentioned, I'd recommend Double Dragon II, Bionic Commando, Rygar, and Gunsmoke.

  • Cowboy Kid, Rampart, Micro Machines, Thunder and Lightning, Balloon Fight and the usual suspects (Mario, Castlevania, Megaman) are on the top of my list.
  • Kickle Cubicle, Little Samson, Rockin' Kats, Adventure Island 1-2-3, Bucky o' Hare, Battletoads, Bonk's Adventure, Whomp' em.



    All pretty good games that were missing from the topic.



    I also love Sword master and Dragon Fighter a lot, but I don't think they can be considered as some of the best.

  • Mr. Gimmick and Ufouria are amazing if we're including PAL image
  • Battletoads, Crystalis, Punch Out, Castlevania III, and Super Mario Bros. 3

  • MC Kids, Power Blade, Monster in my Pocket, Kickmaster, and Snow Bros. There are just too many to list and of corse everybody has their favorites, which you may or may not like.
  • I don't think MC Kids got enough credit, Good you brought it up image
  • I like the point and Click games like Shadowgate, Deja vu, and Uninvited myself. I also find MC Kids incredibly enjoyable as well.
  • I need to read the manual to shadowgate, I started the game and never finished it because I started playing crystalis, Which I am pretty much done with image
