How's it going everyone? I'm 29, and I manage/run Bargain Pawn in Oceanside California.
I pretty much got into buying/reselling because of video games. I use to collect but pretty much sold everything to finance business ventures. Although I now resell everything I take in when I get more stock I do want to list a lot of my cheaper/not worth shipping individually games/accessories/boxes/cases on here, and potentially trade/sell large lots for cool nintendo merchandise, or common pricier sellable games that I can put in my shop.
I realize the most important aspect in business is to build up relationships with people, and getting our business name out there. We do get in a ton of gaming stuff. mostly newer things, but I love picking up/reselling iconic games like Goldeneye/Mario Kart/ SMB 1-3/Ninja Gaiden/TMNT/Megaman in shop for slightly below amazon/ebay prices. Figured I'll miss out on a few dollars, but i'll get some extra customers, and might kickstart a love for the retro games with some of the younger kids if they have the ability to buy it below internet prices.
I'm a business, and I do sell a lot of our more rare stuff like Snatcher/Hagane on ebay but I recently started selling our BMX bicycles/parts on a BMX Forum, and have met some great people who helped us identify parts/frames and other stuff. we even get people who stop in our shop because they heard of us on the BMX forums. I figured I would reachout and join other communities and see if It can build up my shop.
Now I don't think I'll need help identifying things that come in because I haven't gotten any prototype/homebrew/unidentifiable gaming items but I figured I could post lists of some of my not so rare/not worth selling individually items on here and try to sell/trade lots of cheapies/accessories for more iconic/sellable games or merchandise in my shop
Plus we get overstocked on some of the newer consoles/accessories and I wouldn't mind some potential trades for some retro stuff.
