  • peripherals are nothing but gimmicky trash

give me a controller, all day, every day
  • Zapper and the NES Advantage was seeing a lot of use until we got an arcade cabinet.

I got a PowerPad a few years ago but my kids are not big fans. I think I paid $25 shipped, so not a big loss.
  • Really only the Advantage on the regular and for non-gimmicky reasons.

For fun while drinking with buddies, the UForce and/or Power Glove will usually make an appearance if we're gaming.
  • NES Advantage

    NES Four Score

    NES Zapper
  • Besides the controller, I just have the Miya.

    Exactly this...

If controller length is an issue, the Four Score comes in handy.

Also, when I first played Gun.Smoke with the NES Advantage it was like a whole new world opening up. Love that thing for shooters.
  • I need to figure out how to repair my Vaus controller because I enjoy Arkanoid.

Outside of that, if you haven't played Stack Up while drinking... you are missing out.
  • I'm boring :\
  • I can't remember the last time I used the Zapper. It's been way too long. Don't have space for a CRT. Wish I could.

Besides using the regular controller, I occasionally use the Advantage for the turbo functions. I got some Acclaim wireless controllers not long ago. I've used them a few times, but the range isn't that great since you have to be centered with the receiver for it to work.
  • zapper is fun. I always thought ROB looked cool and wanted one. Too bad it didn't work better.
