My mom refused to believe that I played in bands and recorded/released albums until I showed her copies of some of them.
I had an uncle that was secret service or something. I remember he used to tell me stories about being a soldier in war zones and he moved all around the world. Last time I had an communication with him no one knew what the hell he was actually doing. I have no idea where he is right now.
Back when I lived in MS, I used to work with some rappers/producer type guys. One guy I worked a lot with apparently was related to someone at Motown. That one guy used samples and stuff of mine. No idea if any of his stuff went anywhere. Similarly, I'm sure I had mutual contacts/acquaintances with Soulja Boy but I never met him. I used to do freestyle raps copying his style with some of those guys. He probably wouldn't have liked me anyway.
I found out recently one of my cousin's sons (I guess he's my cousin, too, once removed or some shit) dated Ariana Grande for a short while, before she was licking donuts and hating America.
