There are two copies of NBA Elite 11 on ebay right now

I just thought this was interesting. As an owner of the game, I try and keep up with how many copies there are and whatnot. As of now I'm not sure if there are two new copies that have surfaced, or if they are part of the 9 known copies. Both are expensive, but cool to see them listed nonetheless.

  • That price is insane. Kind of funny how sports games are all disregarded as cheap.

This is yet another example of one being the holy grail for serious collectors.

And you own one? That's insane! You're sitting on a gold mine! : O

EDIT- Just saw who's selling the VGA graded one right now.

Wasn't he banned from here literally just a week ago?

I'm not sure. Not familiar with that username.
  • One of those games that nobody wants until other people tell them they want it, then they want it because other people want it.

Pretty much.  All hype and no bite.  I'd expect this title to stay flat and trend slowly downward overtime as people realize there are hardly any full set PS3 collectors at this time.  Only buying activity on it is from price speculators.
  • Kinda of funny. I have the promotional poster card for this game. It in a GameStop I believe and if I remember it correctly, it was only on the wall for a couple weeks max before they took it down and gave it to me.

Do you think PS3 collecting will pick up or become a thing in the future? I'm so out of touch with the current gen. The rate at which shit is consumed these days astounds me.

    Short answer: No.

Longer answer: The disc based systems will never be as collectible as the cardboard / cartridge based ones.

I literally typed that out as part of my first reply, and deleted it because I thought it was a bias on my part. Good to know I'm not completely out of touch   Carts are WAY more novel a form of media, and thus warrant a bit more collectibility in my eyes.
  • This game. And it's one of a kind console too...

Hey now, I wanted mine before people told me to want that i should want to want it.

  • I can't see PS3 full set collecting ever being a real thing. Sure, I'm sure there will be some who do it, but I can't imagine it will amount to much.  It is surely rare, but beyond speculators who really gives a shit?
  • Im going for a full ps3 set.....but only the collectors edition of the games...
