Costco Gameboy Advance Bundle (Item #498166)

Hi I just purchased this Costco Gameboy Advance Bundle on eBay recently, and had my concerns as to whether it was an authentic Costco item. The listing stated that the item was factory sealed, and upon inspecting it, it does appear so. However, in the bottom right corner, it says "Custom packaging by Diversified Re-Packaging." Now can anybody tell me whether this item is real, or if the seller just had it re-sealed up.

If you could please help or have any knowledge about this item or similar Costco items (i.e. Gameboy Advance SP Bundle), then that would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link to the listing: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262594656566?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Thank you for your time.

  • I would imagine that Costco would have a third party seal those bundles up. That's probably why it mentions it on the package. I doubt that Nintendo made those bundles up for the stores and I doubt Costco was packaging them either.
  • That's just how Costco turned the individual items into a "bulk" bundle worthy of a warehouse club. They often consult with manufacturers/suppliers for these kinds of bundles but they could also do this themselves using third parties. It's seen the same things at BJ's Wholesale Club for DS lite, GameCube, and others. It's legit. I've even seen where Walmart has done similar things (FF Crystal Chronicles packaged with a GC/GBA Link Cable).
  • Legit bundle from Costco and most definitely 3rd party packaged. Lots of similar bundles exist for N64 / Gamecube / etc.
  • Thank you everyone for the replies! I appreciate it! I just wanted to ask the Nintendo community and get their opinions and knowledge
