Canadian livin' in America
Hi NA!
I'm a Canadian ex-pat living in the good ol' US of A. I've been around forums that mainly deal with arcade games, but wanted to join here mainly because of my love for old Nintendo systems and games.
My first console was an Atari 2600 that I got for Christmas, but really, my first love was the NES. The 2600 was fun for a few games that we had, but I remember when I first got my NES and played Super Mario Bros, I was blown away. Since then I've continued to buy and collect systems, but as of lately I've started to thin the load and only keep the absolute cream-della-cream -- a smaller tight collection of the best stuff.
Recently I picked up an AVS, and the scoreboard was another reason I wanted to join here.
Some of you may recognize my handle from other forums mainly centered around arcade collecting. I have a modest collection of original arcade boards, and a few original cabinets like a Donkey Kong Junior, Robotron (cabaret/mini), and a New Astro City japanese sitdown cabinet.
But my love for the old Nintendo games have never waned. On practically a yearly bases I tend to pop-in some of my old favs for a playthrough. Games like Secret of Mana, Seikan Densetsu (translated repro), the NES Megaman's and Castlevania's, and a few of the Super Mario's like 3, World, and the occasional Dr. when my wife wants to throw down some versus puzzle smack.
Thanks for having me here, and see you around the forum.

Welcome! Come back to Canada so I can play that Robotron cab
haha, but...I just moved! The Robotron came down with me. It's actually returning to it's home country since I originally picked it up in the middle of farmland Washington state. Took me about 6 hours to drive to from my home city, Vancouver. Totally worth it though.
Welcome to NA playa. I like what you have done with your location there.
gotta still represent the True North down here in Cali.
Thanks guys!

very nice machine! One day I'll get mine. Hopefully I can find one local rather than taking a 6 hour drive
Sounds like you've got some really cool stuff to bring to the forums.
Nice moves with the Canadian flag, eh!
Great timing for coming to America . Welcome to NA!
Tell me about it! My wife is American, so she'll be able to vote for us. But I gotta say, the election campaign in the US seems to be sooooo long!
So far I'm diggin' the cheap gas, cheap and easily accessible beer, and everyone drives fast.
Welcome to the Age, mang.
Welcome to NA! Also: watch Silicon Valley on HBO.
