Hello from the Netherlands!

Hello NA, just joined here. Finally created an account after lurking around for years!

I have been collecting on and off for the last few years and finally disovered "my thing" in collecting. For nostalgic reasons, I only want games in my collection that were specifically designed for the dutch market. Meaning HOL- and FAH-coded games (primarily NES, SNES and Gameboy) only!

A lot of these variations are very difficult to acquire or (a lot) more expensive than their counterparts from other regions, but I like a challenge

Special love for HOL-coded NES black box games, they are extremely rare, even here in NL. Some titles even have less than 10 confirmed copies...

I'll post pics of my collection regularly on my Instagram and Facebook acoount (@dutchretrogames), so check it out!

Hope to have a good time here!

Welcome! I didn't even know there were HOL-coded Black Box games. The only HOL game I have is my copy of Kirby's Adventure

Yes, in fact there are 21 HOL-coded black box games:

light gun: duck hunt, hogan's alley, wild gunman

programmable: mach rider, wrecking crew, excitebike

sports: soccer, slalom, tennis, golf, pro wrestling

action: super mario bros, ice climber, clu clu land, pinball, kung fu

arcade: donkey kong, donkey kong 3, popeye

    robot: gyromite and stack up.

Not long after this first batch of games, bandai switched to FAH coded games.

A few games were discontinued and were not re-released with FAH code:

    clu clu land

donkey kong (classic series came instead with dk jr.)

    gyromite

    ice climber

    stackup
