Hello All! I finally got on NA!

Hello everyone!

I've been collecting for a few years now, I mostly share my collection through Instagram and on facebook.

I'm going for a complete US Gameboy Pocket set, as well as quite a few other Gameboy-related goals.

I've been on a few other forums, not for collecting though, more for online gaming, so I'm familiar with the ropes of a forum.

I do however have a couple questions;

1- Am I allowed to link to my instagram here, or are outside links prohibited?

2- What is the easiest way of sharing images here? I used tinypic for other forums, but I'm looking for something that doesn't delete your photos after time has passed.

3- Is it common practice for people to watermark their images around here?

I'm hoping to be an active and helpful member here, glad I decided to stop waiting and join up!

Here's a picture of my Panasonic Alkaline that I recently got in! Can't join and not have a single thing to show =)

2- you can host image in you NA gallery

    3-nope
  • Welcome to the site mang!

1-Of course! go to your profile and find where it says "edit signature" you can link your IG there and it'll appear after all your posts, you can also read the FAQ to see what is and isn't allowed in your signature.

2-I use Imgur personally, works well for me. I believe IMG tags are common in other forums? those work here too.

3- Yeah some people will watermark their images, mainly to avoid reproductions or stealing images afaik, not everyone does though so I guess thats up to you
  • Welcome to NA! Game Boy stuff is awesome. Good luck building your collection, and be sure to show it off if you ever complete it

    Thanks man!

I usually only watermark the pictures I'd post of my more rare items, to stop fake ebay listings and things like that

    Definitely will!

Sunday I'll hopefully upload a bit of my collection. Currently at around 20 boxed Gameboys, mostly Pocket, and around 40+ loose. As well as many other goodies and systems

I'm very close to completing my US Pocket collection, just need 4 more boxes and the Kirby box. (And the Nintendo Power)

Also looking for all the LED / No LED box variants for my US set... It's going to be a big one!
  • welcome aboard ...

I'm glad you like it, it's fun to have some of the more obscure consoles.
