Super NES Complete List (including PAL & JP)
Hey there!
I'm a video game historian working on a SNES related project and I have to compile a game list for all the games that were ever released officially on the console. I currently have 1585. Do you know if there's more?

No idea, but imo, the list isn't complete if you exclude the (few) unlicensed games on the machine. As a video game historian (unless you are being paid by Nintendo), you should go for accuracy, rather than to suit the popular vote. I'm not talking about bootleg games, rather original unlicensed works. Just my two cents. Complete is complete, but a list that excludes games isn't complete

Very good point, thank you! I asked my publisher and he wants me to add those! So far I can only think about Super Noah's Ark 3D as an unlicensed game but I'll look into it!
The Japanese library is around (roughly) 1450 last I checked, then there's the Satellaview games, I think there's a few Super Famicom unlicensed games too including a ton of Gundam ones. Then out of all that, you have NTSC-USA and PAL exclusive games which I'm willing to bet is about half the collective library between them. Then you also have the two competition cartridges PowerFest '94, and Campus Challenge '92. Also the other two competition cartridges (which are really licensed but whatever) Super Star Fox Weekend, and Donkey Kong Country: Competition Cartridge.
Also, some people count Nightmare Busters. Not sure why, but it's another +1
You're probably missing 400+ games.

The US and PAL exclusives are really about movies, tv shows, comics, and cartoons adaptations. I'll look into the Competition Cartridges for sure! Thanks for your input!
