NES Game info needed

odd looking nes game board found in a SMB/DH
i was cleaning some games that i am going to sell and i found this in a super mario / duck hunt
looks like a famicom game board
any info

  • It's not famicom, famicom boards are smaller. Most SMB/Duck Hunt boards are like that.
  • A few old games sometimes had a fami board with a converter in them. Kinda cool if you have famicom games you want to play on your nes, just file the converter down a bit and pop it into the game, then into the nes. Works better with a toploader, or a game genie attached.

    edit:  guess that's not the case here though, didn't look closely enough!
  • Yea that's just a old glop top board.
  • It's called a glob-top or glop-top. While most famicom games were made using this (cheap) mfg method, only a few USA ones were. There are also a percentage of SMB/DH/WCTM carts that feature this kind of board, but very few others.



    The chips are surface-mounted and hidden beneath the epoxy resin. They are useless for repros, other than that, they're just the same games.
