Your Most Nostalgic Game Music
Hey all, I haven't posted in some time but I was wondering what some of your guys' most nostalgic video ame music is? What video game music makes you feel most nostalgic, whether it brings back good memories, makes you want to cry whatever the case may be, what music is it?
For me number one is definately the title screen song from Ocarina of Time. When the game fades in from black and all that can be heard is Epona running and this amazing song it brings back so many memories of playing this game and all the great times I had with this game over the years.
Another would be the song from stage 1 in Contra III for the same reasons as the title music from Ocarina of Time, and because it's just so bad ass!
What are some of your guys'?

EDIT
Chiptunes from DuckTales are up there too!
EDIT #2
Oh, and for non-chiptunes, while working I frequently keep the Xenogears and original FF Tactics soundtracks in my playlist. Good for thinking and phenomenal music.
EDIT #3 (Yes, don't judge!)
Oh, and then there's GoldenEye, especially The Facility level. That was THE multiplayer level and that was THE level to try and speedrun.
BONUS! The version below is called the "uncompressed" version, but is actually the original demos from the guy who wrote and developed the score for the game.
Donkey Kong Country (Aquatic Ambience, anybody?)
Contra
Actraiser
The Legend of Zelda
Ninja Gaiden
Friday the 13th
Gyromite's theme is up there.
Very related, music for Dr. Cossack's fortress stage 1 makes me nervous and anxious. Thats when things got serious and difficult.
rlh took my answer.
Which one?
Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily stage 1
Little Nemo - Stage 1
Contra - Stage 1, 3
Legendary Wings - Stage 1
Life Force - Stage 4, 5
DuckTales - Space stage
Metroid - Brinstar
... to name a few
In terms of music that can trigger an emotional reaction, there might be nothing more remarkable to me than the final musical suite at the end of Beyond Good & Evil.

Another good example for me is the ending theme to Mega Man X. Even intro stage theme in Mega Man X is pretty special to me.

The end theme to Super Mario World is also one that always takes me back.

Also, the overworld theme from Dragon Warrior. It's so simple but for me, it's so eerily lonely and isolating and really sets a great mood. I've spent many hours with that theme droning on around me.

Kokiri Forest - Ocarina of Time
Overworld Music - TMNT (NES)
First Stage - Super Mario Land
Every single melody of Link's Awakening
Oh also the music from Pokémon Silver
rlh took my answer.
Which one?
The only one that matters, Batman.
Very cliche answer but Ducktales and Mega Man 2 has such such good music!
... to name a few
I gotta go xexyz stage 1
it still gives me the feels. Pizza, coke and fruit snacks.

Same here with Xexyz. Along with the Kraid's Lair music from Metroid, it's some of the only NES music that gives me true nostalgia. I wonder if it's because they both use that delay/doubling effect?
On the SNES, there are many more, but the biggest ones are:
- "The Boy Aims For Wild Fields" aka "Into the Thick of It" from Secret of Mana,
- "Mysterious" from Mario Paint,
- some of the nighttime themes from Drakkhen,
- all of the music from Lord of the Rings Vol. 1 (but especially the Hobbiton theme and secondary, brooding overworld theme), and
- much of the music from Chrono Trigger.
Also the music that plays in the first town in Robotrek -- something about it gets to me, even though I've hardly even played the game.If I had to pick one although in my teens would be Zelda Oot all the way.
