Best of the cheapos-- What are the must have, easy to find, cheap games.
Ok, so I'm a collector player. Since the NES and SNES aren't really a focus of mine, I'm not really even interested in getting any form of complete list. In fact, I'm also not interested in picking up games just to pick them up.
However, like many of us, I still LOVE to play on my NES from time to time and discovering good games. With that established, what are some of the best games that are easy to find at used games stores and worth the $5 or less price tag. Of course, markets very form place to place, so games where your at might be their cheapest at $10. But, my point is, there are games that are semi-common that often get ignored and are priced at, or near, the bottom of your local gaming shop.
Which of those are the "must haves" if you enjoy playing these systems. To be clear, I'm mostly interested in NES games, but I don't mind the discussion including SNES, Gameboy or N64 games. I'm just looking for a big pile of cheap gaming fun.

Since I'm a Gameboy guy, I personally enjoyed the following "cheap" games on the Gameboy.
GAMEBOY
Tetris - Seriously, this doesn't need to be explained.
Alleyway - It's an Arkanoid clone but I liked it none-the-less. It was a childhood favorite and it's easy to pick up and put down.
Motocross Maniacs - Pretty solid racer and felt like a "spiritual successor" to Excitebike.
Donkey Kong - Ah, the original, but for GB. I felt this was a great port and played all the way through it.
TMNT: Fall of the Foot Clan - Ok, this one may go for a buck or two more than the others, but it's pretty solid for a cheap, easy to find game. Similar in style to the first, NES TMNT game but slower due the the constraints of the GB. Still, it's a fun little game if you're into cheap, portable entertainment.
Ok, that's just a short list. I'll keep expanding this when I have time, even with other suggestions and systems.
Bust a move 99 for N64. Addicting as hell and it has multiplayer.
Sculptor's Cut. Just kidding...
Aladdin for Genesis. One of the best Disney games and one of my favorite on the system.
Gretzky for n64. The arcade version is superior but this one is great for beating up on friends.
Mickey's Speedway USA for n64. Really a terrible clone of Mario Kart but if you can play that game blindfolded at this point then this is basically fresh tracks to play drunk driver to.
Wetrix for N64. Great puzzle game.
F1 ROC II
Pitfall the Mayan Adventure
Tiny Toons Busters Busts Loose
Top Gear
Urban Strike
Tin Star
Granted I haven't looked at prices of these in a year or two
Donkey Kong - Ah, the original, but for GB. I felt this was a great port and played all the way through it.
Are you sure? I wouldn't call it a port so much as a whole different game.
NES - Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, DuckTales, Little Nemo: The Dream Master, Willow, Tetris, Dr Mario, Yo Noid, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 2, Super Mario Bros 3, Excitebike, Rad Racer, Blaster Master
SNES - Aladdin, Lion King, F-Zero, Tetris Attack, Stunt Race FX, Star Fox, NBA Jam, Killer Instinct, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2
N64 - AeroGauge, F-Zero X, 1080 Snowboarding, Wave Race 64, Pilotwings 64, Top Gear Rally, Extreme-G, Extreme-G II, Cruis'n USA, Cruis'n World, Glover, Toy Story 2, Jet Force Gemini, Blast Corps, Body Harvest, Beetle Adventure Racing, Bomberman Hero, Penny Racers, Pokemon Snap, Castlevania 64, Star Fox 64, Bomberman 64, Banjo-Kazooie, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Kirby 64
In all honesty, if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck go for N64. There are a lot of cheap titles for N64 that provide fun since N64 is generally an undervalued system. SNES has a lot of amazing titles but most of the great ones are more expensive.

Tulpa's got low standards
Trog
I just emulate rather than collect SNES anymore. (That and I prefer NES.)
I did the same thing about a year ago (fuck SNES, I'll emu).
+1 NES RULES
I would emulate just about everything if not for the fact that outside of 8 - 16 bit most emulation sucks.
Roller Games
Bionic Comando
Burger Time
Double Dragon
Gauntlet
Goodies 2
Gumshoe (light gun needed)
Karnov
T&C Surf Designs
Wall Street Kid (one of my top 5 for some reason
some good suggestions here
It's right on the bubble, but I'll plug Plok for SNES. An excellent and challenging platformer with it's own unique visuals, music, and gameplay. It's fantastic!
I was almost going to get Plok a few years ago. I'm kind of sad I didn't get it then.
There's a nice space shooter on the SNES called Phalanx, I spotted a copy at my local HPB a week ago for $9.99. Hopefully it's still there.
