Adventures of Lolo: lost Windows remake.

Some of you may recall that Adventures of Lolo had a PC fan game a while back.

Problem is, it seemingly vanished from the Internet years ago. None of the info results in a usable download link.

    Neat.

That is definitely one I'd like to add to the collection if somebody finds a functional version/download...

  • I searched hard for this too a few years ago and never found it. Such a shame.
  • Goes to show that once it's on the internet, that it's not ALWAYS gonna be around later.
  • Oh wow I had no idea about this! I love the Lolo games, I would really love to see a sequel on the Switch or 3DS or something.
  • I think a lot of Visual Basic games slipped away like this with the fall of VB. It's a shame no one ever made an open source replacement for VB. That language was the work horse of the late 90's early 2000's.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo sent them a C&D even if they weren't well known.

Have you tried contacting the developer? It seems like there is a youtube channel as well as an official website associated with the team.

Link to youtube channel of developer:

    And their website http://dabooda.org/contact/

which apparently was last updated on November 3, 2016.

Maybe ask about it and they can send you a link unofficially.

  • We're really not that better off than we were in the pre-printing era, where only the most popular and desirable stuff gets continuous circulation. Otherwise, it gets lost. I am still blown away that there are active downloads for the AOL Pokemon battler apps on Angelfire and archived Geocities sites. Does anyone remember those? You had Pokemon Lightning and Super Pokemon, which worked on old AOL 4.0 chats long before the flooding limit was enabled. They were a real source of spam for some people. You'd just fire up one of those apps, and then a flood of messages declaring you to wage a battle against an opponent assaulted the room. Many TOSes were violated that way. Pokemon Lightning is one of the early projects of our beloved friend GerbilSoft, who has been faithful to the Sonic hacking community since the days of the SSRG's prime, and is now one of the lead managers of the excellent SegaRetro wiki. I spoke to him on AIM a few times back then, but he likely doesn't remember me. Still, he seemed a nice guy.
  • lol, GerbilSoft isn't the lead of Sega Retro wiki. He probably don't even edit the wiki. He's a secret admin of Sonic Retro, most of his work seems to be behind the scenes cause I never see him doing anything on the wiki.
