If the xmas season is what pisses you off about America then you're not paying attention the rest of the year. My household is a strongly atheist household but we still celebrate xmas. It's about silly fun and nostalgia. I certainly don't want to hear some bs about runaway consumerism on a website dedicated to collecting 20+ year old circuit boards and plastic.

We're asking the same thing down here in Dallas with the Stars, man. We can't buy a win in OT, and the preseason expectations for our GF and GA were the reverse of what they are now. I would have posted an ugly sweater for the Stars after my initial post, but it looks like we're still too much of an afterthought for one to be sold on the link I provided. I guess the warm-weather teams aren't cool enough for ugly sweaters.

I think everyone has one "crazy outfit" teacher. I remember my 7th grade Social Studies teacher used to wear garish ties. My favorite was a clear plastic tie with blue dyed water and a tiny island bobbling inside it. That thing was sweet.

The fun part about this statement is that most don't realize that the probably live what others would consider to be foolish or wasteful lives, but they only think about themselves which makes it okay to judge like that.
