Sega Trio Power Cord

So I found this on the reddit retrogaming page, but does anyone here have one? If so, what are your thoughts? Is it good quality? For those that haven't seen this it is a power cord that combines the three power cords for the Genesis, CD, and 32X into one cord. I thought it looked like a good deal, but wasn't sure of the quality, although most of the reviews I've seen have said it is very good. Just wanted to see if anyone here had it themselves.

  • I've seen them discussed on SegaAge and all positive - don't have one though
  • I don't have that one, I have one that the.golden.ax made out of the three respective pigtails and they're wired up inside a Gamecube power brick with an internal fuse.

Much easier than messing with three wall worts.
  • I bought a Trio & Duo power cord from that site. The Trio I bought first (Model 1 Genny, Model 2 SegaCD, 32x), but I found my Genesis would freeze when all three plugs were being used. I contacted Mike who runs RetroGameCave and mailed it back for a refund with no hassle. He took my system's info and troubleshooted the power cord. He uploaded a private youtube video of the power cord running his test setup, so the best he could figure my particular Model 1 just had an issue with the power cord.

I later swapped out my Model 1 for a Model 2 and ditched my 32x collection, so I picked up a Duo cord. That one worked without issue, and I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. Freeing up one slot on my power strip with a brick half the size of the Sega OEM brick is very nice. My only complaint is how difficult it is to order one, the site sells out so fast it took me months of trying to my order in.
