My NA secret santa gift has arrived....

My family members and wife, other than my brother, kind of roll their eyes when I suggest gaming related gifts after they grill me about what I want. I gave up years ago and just buy my own games aside from my brother and I's strict rule that we only give each other gaming related gifts. I read the secret santa reveal last year and it was the perfect solution for having another game or two to open when that's all I want anyways. 



Now this big box is here and I can't keep from staring at it under the tree. I've come close to breaking down and busting it open a few times. My wife has suggested I open it Christmas eve - she thinks it will be weird for me to bring a gift for myself to put under the tree and open on Christmas morning. When do you guys open your NA secret Santa gifts?

I do it as soon as I get it. I hate waiting...which is why my parents always hid and still hide my gifts till the day of Christmas lol. Know me to well.

It depends; if it's a small/medium box I think I can wait, but if it's a large box I'm diving in as soon as I get it. Haven't gotten mine yet, but I'm hoping it's big enough that I can't stand waiting.

I wait till Christmas usually. Last year I opened it on Christmas Eve though.

I wait till I open all my other gifts. I just tell others it's part of a Secret Santa exchange I do online each year with my forum friends.

I usually wait til the week of to open my SS gift. Maybe not Xmas day, but Christmas Eve or the day before that. But this year my SS gift arrived yesterday, and I didn't know it was my SS gift until I opened it, and it wasn't wrapped, and saw the note the person left me. I had a few other packages arrive at the same time so I thought it was just another one of my orders. Oh well. It's still fun to see what I get though!

I have done mine Christmas Day a little while after we do our gift ceremonies in the morning. Then I hit up the thread where everyone reveals to see how it went and if I have the will, post my pic as well.

This will be the only video game item I am expecting so I am planning on Christmas night after all the family stuff is over.

I am usually in the same boat as the OP as far as requesting game related items for Christmas. In the long run I usually buy myself a Christmas present after Christmas. This is the first year I have participated in the SS so I am looking forward to opening it on Christmas day and enjoying some videogame goodness.

I'm lucky though that I do get a few gaming gifts from family, that's too bad that a lot of you don't. That was a big reason I wanted to participate, hope my person likes theirs
