I got a new job :)

A few weeks ago my friend contacted me and said there was a opening for a sand job in the oil field but needed my resume asap. Well I quickly sent it in but didn't hear anything until today. At first I assumed I didn't get it. But was surprised when the phone rang and found myself in a over the phone interview. I Can't Wait To Start. This time I'm going to save and try not to blow cash like I did last time

Maybe try setting up a budgeted system, like "I get to treat myself to something once each Sunday"

    That's the plan.
  • I think if you just stay away from the wrasslin moves on the job you'll be alright.
  • Congrats Andy!
  • Congrats and good luck! I would try to just waste as little as possible. Maybe try saving "X" a month and if you reach the target, spend maybe $25 bucks to treat yourself.
  • Congrats and good luck!
  • Congrats, man!
  • Congrats dude! Good luck in the new position

    But good luck anyway.

  • maybe you should go talk to a financial adviser, and start an IRA.
  • Good luck on the new job Andy.
  • Good job, man!

Well if you do, we don't want to hear it.

Depending on how well this pays, you may want to at least talk to a financial advisor on what you can put away, budget, etc to keep you out of a mess.

  • You must have been born with a golden horse shoe up your ass. Seems like you get every job you want, whenever you want it. Which is a lot.
  • Well, that job application...

    *puts on sunglasses*

    Must've been RIGGED!

    YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!
  • Hope you struck personal Oil.
  • Good luck Andy. As others have said, SAVE!! Or even make a separate account for your spending, but limit how much you put in there. Saving money doesn't happen overnight. But you'll be fully prepared for almost any events that happen (monetarily anyways).

Thanks I have plans already as long as everything works out.  I also backed myself up in case things dont go well. I talked to both my current employers and asked them to possible not schedule me but keep me on in case I am terminated in the first month. That way I can just go right back to working with no hassles of paperwork. They where both fine with the agreement and understand that most likely I am gone and wished me well.
