I remember watching 'Rudolph' and 'Frosty' alot on video. I also enjoyed 'The Year Without a Santa Claus' when it aired on TV. Out of curiosity though, who here remembers 'Robbie the Reindeer'?
Probably going to have to go with Nightmare before Christmas....Simply because you get some Halloween in there too.
For me Ive always watched Nightmare Before Christmas the week after Halloween. To Christamsy to watch before Halloween but to spooky to watch at Christmas It merges the two holidays perfectly.
The holiday special of Bump In The Night was awesome as a kid. I haven't watched it in about a decade but my sister and I used to watch the crap out of the VHS we taped it on to

Ooooh. That's the Mr. Bumpy show right!? I loved that show when I was a kid. Time to do some digging. Thanks for reminding me of that gem!
Flintstone Christmas and Santa and the Three Bears always stick to my mind for some reason. I think I've only seen them once. Weird. Must have been a happy time in my life.

Oh hell, i'm gonna be singing that "we're providing security for toys!" song in my head all night now.
I was actually just about to make a post about Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. The songs are great, the minimalist animation is the UPA studio at its peak, and you can't deny it has seniority, being the first televised Christmas special.

Im chalking that one up to Christmas Carol
Would have said Nightmare but that's a Halloween movie to me.
That episode of King of the Hill where Bill sets up that Christmas village for kids, and leaves it up until February.
That was a good one. I also like the first Mr. Hankey episode in South Park.
old school claymation frosty FTW
Nevermind my last post. I read favorite christmas movie, thinking about movies and not animated specials.
Claymation is the best. And claymation christmas by Will Venton is my favorite animated christmas special.
However....This is probably the single greatest still of any Christmas movie ever:

Beyond that, I would probably pick How the Grinch Stole Christmas. The Dr. Seuss animated films/shorts are awesome.
Gotta give Charlie Brown some love, though...
