Rogue One
I really liked it actually. It kept me pretty entertained most of the time with very few lulls in the action and story. Lots of throwbacks to the older films with excellent facial work on some of the characters. Definitely worth seeing.

I do love me some Star Wars, but no film is worth several days of very painful migraines because stupid 3D screenings.
It was nice to see them shed some old traditions and show us what these new stand alone movies will be like (no scrolling text prolog omg!)
Plenty of throw backs (peter Cushing wow)
Great expansion of the sw universe.
A1. Go see it.
I haven't seen it just yet, although I am very excited to. My brother is coming over to visit me and my family on Tuesday and I'm gonna be seeing it with him and the rest of my family in an Omnimax theater located in the Saint Louis science center (For those who don't know what an omnimax or "dome" theater is: http://www.carnegiesciencecenter.... )
I'm going to the stl area for xmas and hadn't even thought of seeing it at the omnimax. Thank you, sir. Pure genius. My brother is a die hard star wars guy and he thought it was great. From a purist who would look for any reason to hate it, that's says a lot.
Took my daughter opening night, she likes to watch star wars with dad
Raise the younglings right !!
Ah well.
Such satisfying vader
Movie was awesome

I also feel that they used vader perfectly , how awesome was that castle
On the other hand the power rangers trailer actually looks good
Plus plenty of Storm Troopers! Gonna have to go to a throwback avatar in tribute.

It felt very true to Star Wars. I believe I prefer Rogue One to The Force Awakens. It felt more free; less constrained to the rules of the saga. It also has a dark quality similar to Empire.
This is exactly why the movie is so great. Much better than TFA. I'd put it up there in quality with the original trilogy.

I wish there were more Vader. That final scene was only like 3 min. I could watch a full hr of that and be entertained, lol. What a badass.

I was hesitant to say so, but I'm leaning that way. It's pretty heavy thematically and very satisfying.
Alot of action in this movie, the theater i saw it in was really loud, did anyone else notice it was unusually high volume or did my theater just have the sound cranked up.
I liked it better than Ep7 straight from the theater , But Ep. 7 grew on me the more times i watched it.

The theater I went to had the volume cranked during previews of iMax and turned down a bit for the movie

In the context of the story, I think they used Vader just right. Really, the story didn't involve him until the very end. It would've come off as generic fan service if he were in the movie more than he was, IMO. It would've taken away from the film's active antagonists, as he would've eclipsed whatever they were doing.
I'm honestly just a bit confused as to why the majority of footage used in the trailers and marketing never actually showed up in the movie. Like, Jyn Erso facing down a TIE Fighter. Never happened. No Rebel pilot captives on Jedah, either.
I went to see TFA the weekend it opened and really enjoyed it. With Rogue One I'm waiting to watch it on 4K Blu-ray or Blu-ray because it's a spin off/prequel? and not a main movie. I've been hearing positive feedback from everyone though.
But there opinion of the movie, I completely disagree with. They dont really like star wars in the first place so there opinion is taken with a grain of salt from me. I just totally disagree with a majority of their points. I loved the last act of this movie, and the ending was badass. Other than the r2d2 c3po part as far as fan service, I didnt feel like any of it was really weird or forced. Dude couldnt be anymore wrong about the last 5 minutes imo. Again they dont really care for star wars, so I get their opinion, just dont agree with it.
They are one of the few youtube channels that went this hard on the movie. Most people who like star wars, like this movie.
